Prologue

Third person's POV:

It all began in the season of autumn. Leaves that were scattered all over the ground would bring peace in the minds of onlookers. This season was enjoyed by every angel on heaven. Seasons were one of the contrast between heaven and hell. On hell, the only weather one witnessed was harsh and cold winter. On the other side, one experiences all the seasons and weathers on heaven.

Dry leaves rustled due to the heavy steps planted on them. A man was hastily walking towards the castle, where the Royalty of the heaven reside. The curiosity of the onlookers spiked when the face became clear enough to recognize the man. The man was the most trusted minister of the King.

Kim Jisung

. He was a brave and confident man and had spent most of his life serving the King. He was one of the closest to the royal family of heaven. He was always there for the King in all situations and was the one to cheer and support the king whenever things went out of hand.

But that day, his face depicted fear and hesitation. His steps were urgent. His hands were trembling and fumbling around an envelope. He began to pant and release his breathe as he reached the main door of the castle.

The door opened and he went inside to see his Majesty,

Kim Daehyun

, sitting on his throne accompanied by the fellow ministers. He went near the King and whispered something in his ear and presented him the envelope. The King's soft expressions changed to worried and disturbed one. He muttered to Jisung to take care of the issue.

Jisung nodded and bowed before leaving the room. On his way, he passed the Prince's chamber and met with the cute sight of the little Prince of heaven who just turned six last week, playing with his favourite dog plushie and talking to it in a baby voice. Jisung couldn't help but coo at the prince and the voice disturbed the playtime of the little boy. At the sudden intrusion, the prince pouted and asked Jisung to play as a punishment for interrupting his playtime. Jisung couldn't help but compile to the prince.

The Prince looked innocent and pure with his huge doe eyes, just like an angel. His wings were yet to be born. They would come when he would turn ten but it would take a long time. Jisung played for some time before departing. The Prince hugged him and wished him good night. Jisung smiled and went outside the Prince's chamber. Once he was out, he sighed and prayed for the wellbeing of every angel. But he wasn't aware of what the upcoming morning would bring with it.

Next morning, an unfamiliar carriage was seen running at it's maximum speed towards the royalty wing. It stopped right at the door of the castle of heaven. A summon was sent to the King and his ministers by the guard outside who had a brief talk with the coachman. King Daehyun arrived and examined the situation. By that time, a crowd of angels gathered around the carriage. They were curious and fascinated to know what brought a carriage to the castle this early in the morning.

When questioned by the king himself, the carriage was opened to reveal what seemed like a dead body wrapped in a white cloth. Two guards brought the body out of the carriage and placed it near the feet of the king respectfully, bowing and stepping back. The scene was disturbing to many, so many avoided looking at the body. Others were keen to know whose dead body was it. A strong wind came from nowhere and blew on the cloth so only the face of the body was revealed. A series of gasps was heard followed by a deafening silence. One couldn't believe what they saw.

The Queen of heaven,

Kim Minha

The beloved Queen of heaven, Kim Minha was dead. She was no more. The crowd was silent for a minute or two before whispers began. They were talking about how the Queen was kind to them, how she initiated the idea of making houses for all angels so no one was without a shelter, how she loved kids and appreciated everybody for their nice work. The sudden death of Queen brought sadness and sorrow to everyone.

A pitter patter broke the series of whispers as everyone turned to look at the Prince, who was smiling and waving cutley at the common angels. The people couldn't help but smile and wave back pitifully. The Prince stopped when his father came into his line of vision. He ran and hugged Daehyun's legs, giving him a smile too. The King's eyes were still on his beloved. The Prince pouted at the lack of attention but turned to look where his father's eyes were fixed. He gasped and ran towards his mommy and hugged her, exclaiming how he missed her so much, how he wanted to play with her and show some new toys his father bought him. He watched his mother's face intently and noticed that she wasn't responding to anything he said. So, he began to lightly shake her so she could get out of her sleep but the mother was still.

Confused and rejected, the little prince looked at his father with questions in his eyes. The King went to his son and hugged him tightly and began to cry. The prince was left flabbergasted that what made his father cry because in his eyes, his father was the strongest, a fighter who never cried. He asked his father constantly to wake up his mother but it only made the king cry his eyes out more. After few minutes which felt like hours, the king composed himself before signalling Jisung who was watching the scene quietly, to take the prince inside.

Once inside, the Prince kept on asking the questions disrupting his tiny head. Jisung felt helpless at that time.

"The Queen is taking rest, my Prince. She was ill so your father sent her to the gods to make her recover fast. But the gods informed us that the Queen would only be fine if she stayed with them."

"But, I want mommy. I don't want her going with the gods. No.", the Prince whined.

"You have to, my Prince. Don't you want your mother to be healthy again? Tell me."

"I do but..."

"Do it for your mother. You want her to be healthy and happy, right. A good boy would see her off and pray for her wellbeing. Are you a good boy? Come on

Taehyung

, answer me."

"Yes, I'm a good boy. I will go and pray for my mommy."

"Your mommy is proud of you." With that, Jisung softly kissed the crown of the child and watched how the Prince waddled away.

Outside of the castle, the king was weeping continuously. All of the sudden, the crying stopped. The onlookers saw the king wearing an expression of hatred and determination on his face. With his loud and booming voice, he screamed,

"You won't be forgiven for this deed. Death will come after you. Karma will come after you. You will be punished

for your sins, devils!"
