I See the Spooked ...

"Life is supposed to be normal for Brendon Bannon. He takes comfort in his daily routine; a boring train trip to and from his job, his ability to go blissfully unnoticed in all of his surroundings. When Brendon’s glasses becomes broken, he reasonably goes to have them fixed. But why is this particular Optometry storefront so off-putting, complete with it’s mad looking eye doctor known only as Dabra? Brendon tries to ignore the gnawing feeling in his soul that Dabra’s peculiar sight treatment he performs on Brendon is not right. And when the dead begins to approach Brendon with a familiarity that seems to hide sinister motives, Brendon fears that going unnoticed may never be a welcoming option again. For starters this was very well written. I couldn’t find a single, grammar error. (An accomplishment I have difficulty achieving in my own writing.) Author MicMac 21, certainly has a way with describing horror. One of my favorite scenes is when Brendon sees a ghost for this first time. “I don’t care how many zombie, crime forensics, or horror shows you’ve seen, nothing prepares you for the sight of someone’s hideously decomposed face.” Excellent. Loved that line. Be sure to read this novel when you’re in the mood for a good scare by a talented author. "

Slooooow Start

"Unlike Chere I did find a few errors but this is one of the cleanest manuscripts I've had the pleasure to read! I did struggle, though, to engage with the character; there was so much averyage everyday description that seemed to have nothing to do with moving the plot forward"
