More Please!

"So it took me a moment to get into it, and understand the world building, but that's a good thing! I really liked the slow build to a ton of action! It could do with some editing on grammar, but I'm not big on editing either, so who am I to talk. Eagerly awaiting book 2!!"

Breathe-taking

"I started to read this and was like, "Oh, great. Another flying story. It'll be all the usual stuff yadah yadah." Then I got into it. Let me tell u, Lynda has amazing talent. Her story seems a little amateur at the beginning, as far as the writing goes, but soon the words take hold of you and draw you into their captivating clutches. This story has it all, everything that is needed to capture you, well, at least me! I recommend looking this over. It may not be your style, but at least give it a shot."

Great characterization

"I have read the first few chapters so far, and I really like where this story is going. It had me intrigued from the very beginning with the sheer mystery of the superpowers, but there was also an element of it that touched me at a personal level. The Kyra character I'm enjoying so far, with her fun-loving and yet responsible nature, but I really like Noah. He had my sympathy from the get go. A lot of times, the bullied character doesn't really work for me because its just an exercise in self-pity, but the combination of his desire to take care of his mother and to overcome the "cowardice" that he sees in himself. The characterization in this, from the dialogue to the conveyed personalities, was very natural. I look forward to seeing where this is going. The plotline isn't super clear at this point, but I think that you give the reader enough to keep them wanting more. The writing itself was simple and evocative. I like the way that the description is kind of sprinkled throughout the story rather than just dumped on us right away. The one thing I noticed that felt a little odd was when the girl was flying around in her room. It seems like that's a pretty small space (or at least in my case) to be actually building up speed and at risk of slamming into things. It doesn't seem like there'd be enough room. Just a thought. Other than that, I thought this was great so far! Awesome work! I hope that you do well in the contest!"

Dreamriders

"Wow, where can I start, well let's start with how much trouble this book has got me in. I missed my stop on the train and was late for a meeting, forgot the time and the shops shut so unhappy children with no milk on their morning cereal and I flooded the kitchen.. All because I couldn't put the damn book down. I fell in love with the characters and enjoyed sharing it with my tweenies. For me the most rewarding part of the story was the hidden message interwoven into an exciting, original adventure. I now use the book as a tool to help children understand how people's actions are sometimes a reaction to things going on in their lives that we don't know."

Awakening of the Dream Riders

"This book is aimed at teenagers, however the style and content caught my attention and it is a long time since I was a teenager. Intriguing and enlightening novel I hope there will be a sequel soon."

Wonderful.

"I loved this book! This author understands the characters she is writing about; they are well rounded, fully thought out and real. In the world of DreamRiding anything is possible, When Kyra discovers this talent she has, it opens up a world of friendship - but also of harsh realities. In a world that is so easily viewed in blaack and white, Kyra now sees all the shades between. She sees the effect, but also the cause and together with her friends she needs to work out how to balance the good and bad, how to make the right choices, how to navigate the new world she is discovering. A totally imploring plot that makes the reader see beyond the superficial. Mangoro uses vivid imagery to portray teenage life - well, life in general - in all its colours; the dark and the light and writes an imploring story that was really hard to put down. A truly great new voice in the YA genre."

"Awakening of the Dream Riders"

"A very interesting story. I've been gripped from the start. I don't know what age group this is aimed at, and I'm 64 years old. I have read about Dream Riding before, and also 'Out of body' experiences."

Dreadful

"A book best left unwritten. There are two words in the first chapter that an aspiring author — even an American — wanting to engage their reader should never use: surreal and unbelievable. Sorry author, but I baled after that. Dreadful"
