You were supposed to be there
You dont know the pain that you put me through.
As I’ve grown
I’ve realized that all that ever came out of your mouth was lies
You said that you loved me
You said that you’d come to see me
But if that were true then why doesn’t it show?
You live somewhere else
Somewhere you haven’t bothered to let me know
You have another family
I’m in your blood too
That doesn’t mean anything to you
You not being here has taken people away from me
I no longer get to see my sister
The person I grew up with
I remember waiting for you on the front steps
You never showed
I remember thinking I had the best dad ever
But then you left without saying goodbye
