The air was still, there was not a sound of nature to be heard. Which was rather odd for such a vast Forest. No matter, that was not the most concerning part about the place for him, it was the two people lying unconscious on the grass. They didn’t look to be from around this place, and they didn’t look like anything he had ever seen in his time at the village. Their clothes were also strange. They looked to be a type of nobility, but that wouldn’t make sense since the castle was so far away from where he was.
They reeked of stray mana, and they didn’t seem to be able to handle it as their faces were constantly scrunching and un-scrunching from the misplaced extra mana. All of the animals in the area were afraid as well and stayed away, even the ones that could take down multiple people from multiple races in an instant. This was both strange and concerning because this place was their hunting ground, it would be extremely dangerous for any surrounding villages.
Elliot carefully considered this matter before deciding to take the strange people with him, after all, it would have been dangerous for both the villages, animals, and the two strange people if they were to stay on the ground like that. Signing, Elliot created a portal to his home and used a levitation spell on the strangers. Walking to the other side of the portal, he carefully pulled them through. “This is going to be a hassle, why am I even doing this anyway?” Elliot said to himself. Bringing them into his house, he set them down on the floor. To be honest, killing them would be easier and more efficient than what he was about to do, but he couldn’t just take to random lives and call it a day. That would be absurd!
“Since their mana and the stray mana are conflicting with each other, if I separate them and put them into two different cores, they should be able to balance themselves out. Although, this would mean that they would have two mana cores to draw power from. That could be a problem, but since I don’t really have any other choice unless I want to kill them, this would have to do.” Elliot monologued to himself. Yes, this was all that he could do. Now, to get to work!
