Secondly, it is a unique concept. Giving attributes to different foods and those foods bestowing powers is a fun premise. This is one of those books for me. And I must issue a serious content warning: this book explores some very dark themes. Proceed with caution (or not at all) if you are particularly sensitive to scenes of war, drug use and addiction, the characters grew on me the further I got into the second book.Structurally, the plot was engaging and exciting. Well, it's dicey to say to which genre this story exactly belongs but it has a mix of several elements that would keep one's eyes glued to the screen till it reaches the culmination. "First of all, the title of the story is epic. You'd have several ideas of what will happen. I've read 25 chapters. And the number of mood swings Toby went through with no self-development whatsoever is a bit funny. But he's a teenager, I won't judge. Secondly, the fight scenes are detailed and well-written. But the bulky paragraphs began to scare me at one point. I know it's how the scenes work, but writing it into more than one paragraph would be better for the readers. Someone might complain about character development, but it's an action novel with a violent teen. I'm ok as long as there's a good amount of development (positive or negative) by the end of the story. The grammar in the first few chapters is good. But the rest had some issues, nothing major. With some editing, it'll be fine. Overall it's a great novel. It's a must-read for action lovers."

I read up to chapter 25
"And might I just say the author is a genius. Way better then most here on inkitt. Like I've read a lot of his reviews and he's a nice and fair guy. I only saw one or two mess ups when it came to grammar. But we are human that make mistakes. With this said the book is about a boy named Toby who goes from powerless to corruptingly powerful. I like it better then the cliché that the hero is made through hardships. Because realistically that's not true. If I got powers I would one hundred percent be a villain. Just like any other human out there. Props author for making a relatable and fun character to read."
