Greeting
"Hi Author, I just finished reading your story today, and I really enjoyed it! Please keep creating more—Your work is truly inspiring, and I believe one day you’ll become a very well-known and great writer."
The Caroline
"Although being a romantic story, it is also very well documented concerning a number of interesting historical facts, and even comical at times. A pleasant read. "
The Caroline
"Another brilliant book! I moved along with the story so much that I felt the pain and anguish of both Wyatt/Henry and Caroline. Your writing is superb as usual and I am impressed with what is either your acquired knowledge or intensive research about steamboats and the geographical locations. I did find one or two typos, misplaced quotation marks or missed spaces between words, and much to my shame I admit that I had to bring out my dictionary a couple of times! You are obviously a well-read, extremely intelligent gentleman! I also found that I needed to re-read several extremely long sentences which, even with the insertion of commas, confused me somewhat. All in all, this was as fantastic a story as I've come to expect from such a skilled writer as yourself. (And, by the way, that gamble close to the end was absolute genius!!!)"
The Caroline
"This is a brilliantly written novel which I enjoyed very much ......"
The Caroline
"Once again, another beautifully written book!❤️❤️ Although the description of the boats and the others were kind of hard for me to understand, I loved the in-depth description of the characters and how Henry(or rather Wyatt) is strong and observant. All in all, it's a great book for historical romance lovers. Shout out to the author."

"An intense and adventurous book which tells a tender and troubled love story and allows you to travel through time and space thanks to the wealth of very interesting historical and geographical details. You will feel like you are aboard the "Caroline" on their journey along the Mississippi while the words come to life before your eyes."
Great historical details

The Caroline

"A story of enduring love, loss, discovery and death. Wonderfully written, this book is a journey of the struggles of people making a living on the bare necessities of life after war, on the Mississippi river. An adventure that will keep you reading late into the night."
Worth Reading
"I loved the way the story unfolded like a gift. It gave the necessary details that work around the characters giving any reader a clear picture of what is going on in the story. I appreciate the insight it showed on how some people end up being what they are without the high brow attitude. I was in tears with Caroline's grief and had wanted to strangle her and Wyatt for prolonging their agony. Cheers to the author for his ability to pen emotions and invoke them from readers at the same time. Their love story will burn on one's mind for a long time."
Intense Narration!
"What struck me most was the careful manner in which the writer wrote Caroline's story very seriously, showing the love between two young people and shifting to us the pure excellence of life."
John Does It Again
"Of course I might be a little bias. I love historical fiction. The Caroline takes place just after the Civil War; though through most of the chapters you may forget that if your mind is anything like mine. It just flows naturally, as a story should. Wyatt is a man who lost his love. Caroline lost her love as well, though the loss is different in each others eyes. For one of them, love lost is possibly recoverable. For the other, love is just a memory. I am so not going to give up the plot on this one. But I will say, it will drive you nuts. You will keep saying, "OMG! Why?" LOL. You thought I was going to say something, but not! John has the ability to bring two young people together like no other. The romance in this one and his other story that I have read, The Belvedere, is true storybook, historical romance. I will continue to read this author, because he has a tendency to hold my attention on my long commute to work. I read everyday, so I read quickly (well it is a normal pace to me, but peeps say I read fast). John Sutherland will say to you that he is not brilliant. I know. I have had this conversation with him. To me, he is brilliant. Read, The Caroline, to judge for yourself. Do you have an author that you will read anything they write? I did until my favorite author passed away. Slowly but surely, John is taking their place. There are very few flaws as far as grammar, however, in this one paragraphs tend to be a little long. Easily remedied. Loved this book as well as the other I read. I will recommend this to anyone who loves period pieces. It will make you smile."
Great read!
"The story flowed quickly, chocked full of great detail, from accents, to looking for a steam leak, to historical facts, to even how alligator tastes. I have traveled extensively around Louisiana and the little details made this book richer. A former sailor I could tell the author had done a lot of research or knew what he was talking about on a number of subjects in the book. I enjoyed the read. I left a review on 'Zon too."
Great
