Chapter 1

It was a normal day at treasure high. The students throughout the 11th grade were chattier than usual because they had an important field trip coming up.

" I'm so excited about this field trip! Where do you think we'll go first, Miles?"

Miles shrugged his shoulders and continued to read his book. Forrest, the girl who asked him the question, huffed and rolled her eyes. " What's his problem?" She mumbled. When the teacher walked into their classroom, she got out a note board and a paper, and she started the attendance.

" Aaron Rolins?"

" Here!"

She started. While she was calling names, Forrest's friend, Roselyn, decided to talk to her. " Why do you seem like you're in a bad mood, Forrest?" Roselyn asked. " It's Miles. I hate how he's so...so...I don't know, moody? He acts like batman is all I'm trying to say." Forrest sighed. Roselyn put her hand on Forrest's shoulder and smirked,

" What if I acted like that and annoyed you? What would you do then?”

Forrest looked at her friend in disinterest. " Rose, the day you start annoying me is going to be the day you die. Miles is like...an annoying older brother to me." " Gee, thanks, Forrest," Miles mumbled. Roselyn laughed at the two and she tapped their other friend, Oliver's, shoulder. " Oliver, do you hear these two?" He chuckled while still looking at his game. " Loud and clear Rose. Oh, Miles, the teacher's calling you."

Miles looked up from his book, " Here." He sighed and continued reading again. Once the teacher finished calling for attendance, she got out another paper. " Alright class, now for today's news. As you all know the field trip to Europe is tomorrow and I am assuming everyone is excited about that?" The teacher smirked and the class cheered.

" Good. Now for those of you who were wondering, yes you can bring some of your accessories or devices from home." All of the boys silently cheered at this. " And as for the girls. No, you can't bring pets. But, you can bring whatever kind of clothes you want. School uniforms are not required all the time on this trip." All of the girls nodded at the information and some sighed in despair.

" The time that you all should be at the airport is 8:30 am. In case you're wondering why, the flight will take about 10-12 hours and we want to be there as early as possible. I myself want to see the Eiffel tower at night." The class laughed at the teachers' remark. " Okay, that is all class. Today is a free period in all of you're classes today, so enjoy! But make sure you study for your test that's in two weeks." The teacher, or Mrs. Bell, sat down in her chair and started grading her students' homework from last night.

" Why is she telling us to study two weeks before the test? Who's going to study for two weeks?!" Roselyn raised her hand, " I will! I want to get a good grade on this test!" Forrest looked at her annoyed. " You always get a good grade on everything Rose." She grumbled. " Maybe because you're always failing everything Forrest. Rose gets normal grades every year." Miles said with his nose still in the book.

" Shut up Miles." Forrest hissed. " I'm just stating facts," Miles said smirking. Forrest groaned and massaged her temple. " I don't get why you're so annoyed, Forrest. Just ignore him. It's simple." Oliver said as he still played his game on the computer. " You don't get it because you're so immature as always!" Forrest shouted. The teacher looked up and glared at her, " Ms. Willow, use your inside voice please," Forrest looked down in embarrassment. " Sorry, Mrs, Bell."

" Bigmouth," Miles murmured. " I swear if you say another annoying thing out of that big mouth of yours!" Forrest spat. " Or what? You'll hit me?" Miles chuckled and closed his book." I suggest that you don't because I'll swing right back if you do," He said in a low voice. Forrest growled at the older male and walked away from him.

" Hey, Rose," Forrest sighed. " Let me guess, Miles said something annoying," Rose said. Forrest nodded. " Why is he just like my little brother? He used to be so nice and brother-like." She sighed and put her head down on the desk. " It's just like home when he's around," Forrest said. " Well, that's what happens to some people as they get older. They go through this teenage phase where they are all depressed and want to be alone." Rose got out a bag of jolly ranchers and gave some to Forrest. " You just have to be patient. He'll come around," Rose said. Forrest opened one putting it in her mouth. " Thanks, Rose," Forrest said with a soft smile.
