Prologue
Himma. A name that means "courage". I was given that name, as a Muslim girl, by my Muslim parents. Yet I never understood why a person as weak and fragile as me, carried such a heavy title.
It was like bearing the curse of being courageous all the time, no matter what happened. Never falling. Never failing. A perfect embodiment of strength was what I was expected to be.
Although, I have to admit, courage does not come naturally to anyone. It is something you learn. Something forced into you by circumstances. Because no matter how smart you are, no matter how physically strong, if you don't have the courage to show it when time demands you of it, you, are inevitably, nothing.
