I Will Wait
I Will Wait
Bodies align,
collide,
combine.
From an ocean of millions,
Only one needs to survive,
The deathly pursuit of life.
Beneath the surface, my seed waits.
Without feed. Without roots.
No water, no sun.
And yet it waits
over and over
For love.
It doesn’t hear my prayers.
It doesn’t feel my hope.
It doesn’t know my dreams.
My seed waits, unknown.
And I wait for my seed
To bloom.
