A great start

"The book is definitely a good read! The story it is in its initial stages, so my review might not do justice to the literature that will follow. The plot of the story is captivating and the MC is hilarious! I loved the sarcastic undertones employed in the book. I am getting the feeling that the characters will ultimately develop into likable personalities. All in all, it's a great start to a fun story!"

Charm & Wit

"This is a review of the Prologue and Chapter 1 of "The Concept of Tea". Beth's character makes a charming and witty narrator. She is full of spunk and sarcastic humor, making her likable right away and easy to invest in. I love the idea of a rebellious young woman in the 19th century (I'm a big fan of Pride & Prejudice, so that may explain it!) I think the story has a strong start and the potential to be funny and charming, while also thoughtful and heartwarming. The part that weakens this otherwise charming story is the technical errors - punctuation, grammar, and tense. This is a very common problem for first drafts, unavoidable really, but can be greatly reduced by carefully reading through each section/chapter and making the corrections before posting the work. Some errors are bound to slip through, and that's OK - that's why you get feedback from other writers! But a lot of errors can detract from the overall reading experience. The writing style is good overall but could be strengthened by focusing on the flow of the sentences (make sure they are clear, they sound good, they aren't run-ons, etc) and adding more dialogue to break up the chunks of prose and engage with the reader. Overall, I think this book is full of potential. With a strong main character, an interesting plot, and an absolutely charming title, there is lots of room for this story to bloom!"
