"Spunky and hard working Hael isn’t looking for love. Her sole interests are in deepening her knowledge of the magical arts. But that was before she met Eidan, a man who can turn any woman’s head. Sure, he is sexy as hell and Hael does admire confidence in a man. But Hael senses something dangerous in his personality too. “Back up,” she warns him. “I’m not the one.” But as her gaze wanders over his dark, well toned body and his eyes that are soft and yielding, she wonders how long she’ll be able to keep her resolve and self control. Eidan has never had problems in the woman department. As a good looking African American male, he can have women from any race. So why, when he declares that Hael is to be his mate, she doesn’t seem to understand the privledge? Indeed her very resistance causes him to feel his wolf struggle within his soul. Dare he reveal to Hael his real identity? Will she be repulsed by that, even though he knows she is his designated mate? A good wolf romance story with some intriguing characters. I too have noted that African Americans are under represented in the Fantasy genre except maybe as a sidekick. So I did find it enjoyable and relatable reading about such fun characters. My only criticism is that Hael and Eidan tend to talk to each other a lot, and I’m impatient for them to get to the action if you know what I mean. But I’m sure this will happen in chapter six. A satisfying story and I’m glad I found this novel and author."
