Long ago, the land of Calaria was ruled by a great and mighty evil. Raygor, a Mystic with dark power, ruled over the lands with a dark hand. He enslaved Men, Elves, and a manner of all other creatures all across Calaria.

Under his rule, Raygor sought and destroyed all other Mystics, ensuring that no one could come into power to overthrow him. But somewhere deep in the Jungon Forest, a secret was kept. After hundreds of years of Raygor's rule, a Mystic of light grew into her powers. Hanna, the last of the Jungon Mystics, united Men, Elves and all other races and creatures in Calaria to march on Raygor's keep.

They fought tirelessly for days, all hope seeming to be lost, when Raygor appeared from the steps of his castle, challenging the leader of their opposition.

The great battle of dark and light ensued.

Hanna foresaw each step Raygor took, each maneuver; proving to be an even match. All of Calaria watched their battle as it took the span of four days. But at dusk on the third day, Raygor's powers began to wane, and by the morning he was defeated.

The new, free Calaria drove the rest of Raygor's cause into the Shadow Lands, marking and banishing them from returning. The land rejoiced at their newfound freedom.

Hanna and the leaders of the races of Calaria freed all those enslaved, and released the remaining captured Mystics.

It was at last a free land of equal opportunity for all. The leaders of all races united to rule in fairness and peace.

For 200 years Calaria remained in peace.

Upon Hanna's death, a new leader of the Mystics, Onar, emerged. Most of the land welcomed this new Mystic, but some with a greedy eye found him easily persuaded.

Man and Elves began to contend with one another, and soon all races and creatures of Calaria were at odds.

With the power of the Mystics behind them, Man began to enslave all those they deemed less, plunging Calaria into a new kind of darkness; one that was all it's own.

The Elves, sickened by the wreckage of Calaria, sought to abolish this rise of evil. But outmatched in numbers and power, they were defeated, and retreated into Greenthorne Forest to a place called the Hidden City.

Onar the Mystic and the new leader of Man, Dornus, banned any mixing of Elven blood with any of the races of Calaria. They condemned the Elves, and continued to enslave all other races in the lands for hundreds of years.

But still, there were some of the race of Man that condemned Dornus. They rebelled against the slavery of all those that lived in Calaria. Led by a woman named Neera, soon Calaria was split in two. To the north was Dornus' reign, now named the Dominion, and to the south was the Rebellion, seeking to restore peace and unity back into their land.

Since that time, Calaria has remained in a constant state of war. But for some, there is still hope that a leader will rise, one that can unite the kingdoms and all races; one that will finally restore Calaria back into a land of peace and freedom.
