Two Sides, One Sequence.
"Overall, it's a rather thrilling piece, merging superstition, psychology, slice of life, and the usual Japanese risque fare. All the elements have rhyme and reason in being placed together. The respective background stories of the characters involved so far also give a sense of flair and thrill. I'd like to give due commendation to the fact that there's an A-side and a B-side to the same sequence of events by telling the story through the perspectives of the two protagonists. Hardly does one commit to that level of depth in a similar storytelling fashion. Although the story had to be cut short in mid-confrontation, it also works that way as it prepares the reader for what's to come next."
When Promises Don't Deliver
"This story is in desperate need of an editor. I honestly could not get past the first chapter because it's painstakingly repetitive and poorly written. The other problem I have is that the story starts with not only one, but two dream sequences. This is one of the biggest signs of an amateur writer. So much confusing stuff happens so early on, I found it hard to connect with the characters and even harder to care because I don't know why any of it matters. All of it just felt really contrived. It was like reading how a person who watches a lot of anime thinks an anime related novel would be written."
