Chapter 1
Nick sat in his room staring at a picture of his girlfriend, Brizee. They have known each other ever since they were babies and they have been best friends and they started dating two years before. They were juniors in high school. He looked up and saw his best friend, Brian, come in.
“Hey Frack,” Brian said.
“Hey,” Nick said.
Brizee and Brian’s girlfriend, Michelle, were currently in Europe on a trip for school.
“You okay, man?” Brian asked.
“I miss Briz,” Nick said.
“I know what you mean, man, I miss Michelle, but they will be back next week,” Brian said.
“I can’t wait, I just want to hold Briz in my arms,” Nick said.
“Nick, have you two slept together?” Brian asked.
“No, you know my parents and her parents are against it because they believe in sex after marriage, so no, we haven’t,” Nick said.
“Neither have me and Michelle, our parents are against it, too,” Brian said.
“God, Brian, I love Briz, I want to show her just how much I love her,” Nick said.
“I don’t think so, Nickolas,” Jane said standing at the doorway.
“Mom,” Nick said.
“You are not going to have sex in high school, not until after you are married,” Jane said.
“Why are you so against it, it’s not your life, it’s mine!” Nick said. Jane glared at her oldest son.
“Nickolas, don’t talk to me that way, I am your mother, and you will listen to me,” Jane said.
“I have been with Briz for two years and I have known her since I was a baby, so have you, why can’t it be different!” Nick said. Jane looked at her son.
“Nick, if you have sex, she’ll get pregnant and you will have a baby to take care of, you guys are in school, you haven’t graduated yet, I want you to get a college education and a good job and then you can do what you want,” Jane said.
“Mom, if I have sex now, I will make sure there is protection,” Nick said.
“Nick, no, end of story, no sex until you are married, and you are only 16!” Jane said.
“So what, I love Brizee!” Nick said angrily.
“I know you do, and we love her, too, you two can do everything except have sex, okay, be thankful we are letting you two date and letting her sleep over here with you,” Jane said. She left the room. Nick looked at Brian.
“See,” Nick said.
“Man, she really is against it,” Brian said.
“I know, try Brizee’s parents, they are worse, they said if me and Briz have sex, I will never see Briz again,” Nick said.
“Damn,” Brian said.
“Yeah, I mean, they let her sleep over here and stuff but if they find out that me and her have sex, they will ban me from seeing her and talking to her, they will send her off to boarding school,” Nick said.
“I think you better listen and wait,” Brian said.
“Yeah, I can’t lose Briz, Brian, I just can’t, I can’t bear the thought of being without her,” Nick said.
“I know, same here, with Michelle, god, being with her is amazing, I can’t bear the thought of losing her,” Brian said. The phone rang. Nick reached over and grabbed it.
“Hello,” Nick said.
“Hey honey!” Brizee said.
“Hey baby girl, I miss you,” Nick said.
“I miss you, too, honey, Michelle and I are having so much fun, I got you something,” Brizee said.
“You did, what is it?” Nick asked.
“You will see when I get back, god, Nick, it’s so beautiful here, we are in Paris, I wish you were in here and I want to be in your arms so bad,” Brizee said.
“I want you in my arms, I just want to hold you, I miss you so much, baby girl,” Nick said.
“I love you, Nicky,” Brizee said.
“I love you, too, baby girl,” Nick said.
“Tell Brian that Michelle said that she loves him and she’ll call him later,” Brizee said.
“Okay, I will, god, I wish I was with you right now, I just got chewed out by my mother again,” Nick said.
“What now,” Brizee said.
“It’s nothing, I made a smart-ass comment about something and I get yelled at,” Nick said.
“Nicky, I have to go, I’ll call you tomorrow, okay,” Brizee said. Nick smiled.
“Okay, baby girl, I love you,” Nick said.
“I love you, too, honey, bye,” Brizee said.
“Bye,” Nick said. He hung up and held his hand on the receiver.
“Nick,” Brian said.
“Michelle said she loves you and she’ll call you later,” Nick said. He laid on the bed.
“Nick, they will be back next week, and you can hold her all you want,” Brian said.
“I just miss her so much,” Nick said.
“I miss Michelle, anyways, man, I gotta go, see you in school tomorrow,” Brian said.
“Okay,” Nick said. Brian went out the door. Nick stared at the ceiling and thought of everything.
