Prologue

In the Smoky mountains lives a small werewolf pack called the Emerald Warriors Pack. Guarding a sacred mountain pass. Alphas good and bad have come and gone over the years A goddess named, Agrotora who over the years has been nicknamed Tora, created it thousands of years ago for anyone worthy of this sacred place that holds not only the special Emerald which has been turned into a necklace over the years but a chance to talk to her if a descendant is in trouble. Over the years some have been excellent protectors of the Emerald and some have wanted it for power and selfish reasons to harm others and the guardians of the necklace. What will happen with the new protector of the Emerald and how will the guardians of this Emerald treat our new protector? Only one special young lady will find out when the time is right but have some troubles along the way. Her name is Esmerelda or as her friends and family call her Esme. She won’t know it yet, but she’s in for a journey of a lifetime… with strength, courage, love from family and friends she can protect those she cares for, but I’m getting ahead of myself let’s start at the beginning where things aren’t good for her parents...

21 years prior, mom’s POV

“Ollie, we have to get her out of here! People are going to use her because of the necklace!”

“I know this is going to be hard, but we have to give her up...” I sob knowing we have to do this for her protection.

“I know...let’s go to the world portals. I have an idea of where she should go.” We find our worlds and they’re separated by creatures and humans. Call it mom instincts but the werewolf world seemed to call to me. So we go through there, and we didn’t walk long before finding a pack. I could hear a family sobbing because they couldn’t have children and it seemed like she was going to fit with them. We go to the packhouse, and dropped her in a basket, left a note saying.

“Please take care of our Esmerelda. Know that her actual parents loved her, but she is also loved by whoever takes her in. This is the hardest decision for us, but I hope she’s well taken care of by whoever loves her. To Esmerelda, we love you and we hope to reunite with you someday.

Love

your mom and dad”

We hide in a nearby bush after knocking on the door. The poor alpha and luna looked so confused why there’s a random baby on their doorstep, but they take her inside and it seemed like there was a couple who was unhappy and they were giving them our child which seemed to make the wife thrilled. It makes my mom’s heart happy knowing she’s going to a family where she’s going to be appreciated, happy, and loved. As much as I didn’t want to walk away I had to...I hope this was the best decision...
