There he is
J says ,his grandfather Leslie king.
He wants to say hi,but he can't because he knows somehow it will change things.with what's left of his strength he quickly tried to hide ,But fails , in the middle of the store just him and his grandfather stand in the same isle "do I know you " Leslie says while facing J's back. He try's to think of something, anything to help him get out of this situation, if Les sees him , he will recognize him or at least enough to make the connection
Of who J is. J takes one deep breath and turns around to say something, anything but instead
He just looks at the ground and says yes but you wouldn't believe me even if I told you .
For a moment it was silent more silent then either of them have ever been , "weird" J thought since it was a grocery store you should at least hear fans , ac , something but no it was completely silent,
Les puts his hand on J's shoulder and says "you've grown a lot since I last seen you 10 minutes ago at home" which is true , J is 17 but 10 minutes ago Les was at home with a 5 year old J.
The same J or different?, they are both the same but different in ways like for starters 17 year old J has mileage, scars , facial hair. Les says "I don't want to know how you got here because I already know"
J was ,confused and stunned at the same time. "Why?" "How?" J said ,
"Because you have my genes , you have my traits , the ability you have to be able to travel anywhere, you got it from me, it skipped your father but considering your standing in front of me right now , I l guess you still got the dormant gene? But somehow someway different? "No" J thought. He thought he gained the abilities he has through the kidnapping. The torturing he experienced. To find out everything up to that moment was just useless because he already had the abilities, "but wait you said (ability) I have abilities" J said , Les did not know what he meant by that. "You have the ability to be anywhere you want and can think of right ?" Les said . "I have more then one ability, I can control bio electricity , a healing factor of 12 from 1-12 (almost instant healing) along with increased senses and speed , and recently the one you mentioned" J said . The store lights Suddenly started Flickering off an on as if someone was flipping the master switch, watching them , J told Les they need to leave because someone is after him , he needs to get to safety.
but is it too late ? Have they already found out when and where J went ? Not even a second to blink
Les grabs J by the shoulders and says " hang on tight" J felt relief as if he already knew that his grandfather had a plan . Suddenly everything went black and J recognized this kind of darkness, something familiar, as if he was used to it, then he suddenly remembered his grandfather said he has the same ability of travel anywhere, but J's ability is different, he can do more then just travel any where ..he can travel any-when.
Suddenly the lights turn back on, seemed as if the lighter were never turned off , to J it felt more of a blink after all he's only had his abilities for a couple of days , everything is new to him but where he is , is very old as like it's a memory from a lifetime ago , which would make sense, he has not seen his grandfather since the age of 7 when he died of a heart attack, J wonders what would happen if he tells his grandfather about the future, would it change the outcome of his life ? Would he live longer ? J doesn't have much time . If they already know where and when he is , he has to leave some how but he doesn't know how to control his abilities, to J their like a third eye , a untrained muscle that he can't flex , or just doesn't know how to . Yet , J thought that if anyone would know how to help him it would be his grandfather, but with a lucky thought his grandfather was more then the right guy to go to. 2/12/2009.
