Captivating!
"I love the poetic tone of your writing - it creates a perfect mood for your story, and I enjoyed the way you built suspense. The characters are believable and the pacing kept me reading, ensnared into wanting to know more. You certainly have a gift for story telling, but I would have loved to know why are Zinnia and Electra staying with their aunt for three whole weeks without their parents. You tell us their mother went to Canada, but why is their father not staying along? If that is part of the mystery, perhaps you should make it more explicit by installing suspicions in the reader. early on That will add mystery to the already creepy aunt, and will keep us guessing. Also, some lines need a little tinkering to sound more natural. For instance, instead of "I want to pull my hair out from the frustration of it" you could say "I want to pull my hair out from frustration". Very nice thriller. I kept on liking it more and more as I went on, added it to my reading list, and look forward to finish it."

"Let me just tell you - I love an unhappy ending. For some reason, to me, they give the story more of a closure and end feeling to it. I am in love with the characters and the dark feeling of it! It wasn't personally that scary for me, but I suppose I don't get scared easily, so don't worry about that. For me, I love a bit of mystery when it comes to horror - the type of book that leaves me thinking, "what the actual hell did I just read'. This didn't have as much of that, but I found myself invested all the same! It's imaginative and I love your writing style! Keep working!"
A Gem in the Rough
"I want to begin by saying that I rarely give a five-star overall rating on a novel. Therefore, it should be noted that I gave “The Seamstress” one of those rare ratings. The story itself is very interesting, and I found it to be a rare page-turner for me. That isn’t to say that it is perfect as is (for instance a good edit/editor could take out the grammar and punctuation issues), but the story has great potential. The way that you built more and more “strange” events really suck the reader in and it makes the impossible more probable. From the weird aunt to the talking cat, to the creatures with odd powers who kill everyone who threatens their friend (the Seamstress) the reader gets a slowly building story of fear and despair. I do want to point out one minor thing, however, and that was the age of the main character. If I did my math correctly she is only nine, and not exactly an honor student like the older sister. For such a young girl to be able to think as clearly as your main character does, she would have to be the honor student, not the older sister. On the other hand, women grow up a lot faster than guys of the same age at the beginning of puberty. So I think bumping her up to say thirteen might be a good idea. Beyond that, I really don’t have much to say since you have done such a good job of crafting your novel. While it isn’t Stephen King its a good solid foundation to work with. Keep at it."

Surprisingly Good
"I rarely read horror, be it a physical book or a webnovel. That’s why my expectations are not set before reading this book. However, while reading ‘The Seamstress’, there’s only one thing I could think of, it’s surprisingly good. I like the world building the author did. It’s very detailed, and logical, and so are the characters. There are bits in the plot that surprised me, and they kept me interested. The story is not that scary to me. The descriptions though are vivid enough to illustrate the gruesome image of the scenes. If anything, some parts of the exposition and dialogue confused me since, sometimes, there are no paragraph breaks. The plot as well seemed a bit confusing to me for the first quarter until the first half of the book. Still, I can and will definitely recommend this to other people."

"First off, good job. Writing horror can be especially challenging, and you have really started this off well. (I also love the cover you made.) When it comes to first person writing, make sure that Electra only thinks or states things that she would know or think, unlike writing with a narrator. People are usually not very self-aware, so including that in Electra's perspective will make her seem more relatable. Feel free to let your readers connect the dots. It can often be tempting to overexplain or explicitly state things to ensure your readers understand. Though it is important for them to not be confused, if you let them make the conclusions themselves, it will give them a sense of accomplishment (and encourage them to keep reading.) Don't be afraid to really mess with Electra's head. The more confused, disoriented, scared, and trapped she feels, the reader will feel as well. I'm not sure if you've heard of it, but check into Stephen King's three levels of horror. It's a great resource. The scene with the bride was really well done. It was so detailed and descriptive and was very built up. Keep up the good work! (I can't wait to see what happens next)"
