"I thoroughly enjoyed this. As a retired cop from another State I could see some keen insights by Steve. I have a couple of quibbles, Jake is not a trainee but Is a probationer. And every copper will come across a body very early in their career. But it was a very engaging read and the characters well drawn. Kept me involved right through. "

"This story offers an inside look at what it's like to be a police officer. Before the new can wear off Jake finds himself thrown head long into a serial killer investigation. Though he's there to learn, it seems he has some things to teach as well. I was sad to read about Mick. Though hard boiled, experienced Mick saves the day he's unable to save his mind. Proof that survival of an encounter doesn't mean everything is ok. I'll be looking for more of this story crafter's work.🌹"
