Chapter 1| New Beginnings
"Kayla, I told you we would have to move at the end of the month." My dad said as he walked into the kitchen where I was eating my breakfast.0
"I didn't know it was gonna be this early. I don't want to leave my school. What about my friends dad?" I whined.
"You'll get over it, make new friends and forget about those ones, you should be greatful we aren't sending you to military school after what happened two days ago." My step monster said as she walked in dressed in her pencil skirt blouse and black stilettos and way too much makeup.
"Shut up the bitch had it coming." I said and she gasped.
"Kayla, watch how you talk to your mother." My dad said and I rolled my eyes.
"My mother is dead, she has been for five fucking years, this is just your damn replacement, don't get the two mixed up next time." I winked at him before excusing myself up to my room.
I looked around my once amazing room, the room holding so many memories. Until that thing in heels decided to show up and make us move to California 1,164 miles away thats fucking 16 hours and 41 minutes away, I'm never gonna get to see Mya or Chloe again.
I'm honestly suprised she hasn't convinced him to disown me yet, just because I started a food fight by dumping my tray on Sydney's head two days ago but she had it coming, she was flirting with Cole, my boyfriend, well now ex boyfriend, but that doesn't make me a bad person.
"Kayla, we leave in five minutes!" My dad yelled from downstairs.
"Kay hold on!" I yelled and shoved my phone in my backpocket before grabbing the last box filled with my bedding.
"Hurry up you ungreatful brat!" She yelled and I rolled my eyes.
"Please honey." My dad said to her and I rolled my eyes again as I walked out of my room.
"Whatever you say your majesty." I said before throwing it down the stairs making it hit her in the knee.
"Ow, baby she hurt me, are you sure we can't send her away?" She asked and I rolled my eyes.
"Daddy, she's being mean to me." I whined and he looked from me to her then back at me.
"Now girls, can you please stop so we can get to the house in Cali and you can get some sleep before you have to go to school tomorrow pumpkin." My dad said and I looked at him wide eyed.
"I have to start school already, are you high?!" I yelled.
"Kayla." He warned.
"The sooner you're gone the better for me and for you." She said and I nodded.
"The only good part about it is you'll be five miles away from me." I said and she glared at me. "Bite me." I said and my dad turned me around pushing me out the door and into the backseat of the red mustang convertible that she convinced him to buy.
I swear that woman is a gold digger and I can't wait for her to be gone... one day.
When I was in I put in my ear buds and listened to music trying to imagine me being anywhere but near her. I scrolled through my instagram feed and soon enough got a message from Cole.
I'm sorry for how we left things. I know you already had beef with Sydney but I think us breaking up was for the best, you're moving and I don't think we would be able to make our long distance relationship work. I'm so sorry but just know I really did love you and I'll miss you. Take care of yourself Kay don't let people push you around because that's when things can get bad I love you Kay I hope we can stay in touch but if not I understand.
I didn't even realise I was crying until a tear dripped onto my screen. He hasn't called me Kay since before all of this bullshit. I did love him too but he's right it's for the best and if I'm not gonna be there to be with him I shouldn't make him suffer and be happy so I have to let him go.
I love you too Cole. I hope we can stay in touch too, I think you're right is for the best so take care of yourself and if you ever need somthing you know where to find me, almost seventeen hours away but I'll still pick up for you. Good bye Cole, I'll miss you <3 : (
Everything is falling apart hopefully I can put it back together. I'm leaving my friends, my boyfriend, my home. All because of the makeup stick on heels.
