Chapter 1 / Party

Scarletts POV

I can’t believe it’s the day. The day of my 16th birthday. I can find out who my mate is but not tonight.

“Scarlett May!!” A voice yelled from down stairs and was getting closer.

“Scarlett May get up!” The voice said as I got my covers torn off my body leaving me very cold.

“Let me go back to sleep, it’s my birthday after all” I argued.

“If you don’t get up now then I’m chucking the pancakes in the bin” the voice said with a teasing sound in their words.

I bolted up and quickly chucked some clothes on before running down the stairs to eat my pancakes.

The voice I heard earlier that woke me up comes down the stairs laughing.

“Stop laughing!” I tell as I shove my pancakes in my mouth.

“Alright whatever you say birthday girl”

“Mum, waking me up earlier on my birthday is just screaming for you to be pushed into the pool” I said with a smirk on my face.

Me and my mother have always had a bond where we can say anything to each other and not get offended by it. And we always joke around but little does she know, I’m not joking around this time.

“Scarlett May, you better not. I’ll get your brother to push you in the pool if you push me” she says teasingly.

“Push who in what?” My brother Ethan says as he enters the kitchen.

“My birthday wish is for us to push mum in the pool” I say to Ethan teasingly as I smirked at my mother.

“Oh I’m down” Ethan laughs.

“Watch it boy” mother says before leaving the kitchen. We both laugh and I finish off my breakfast while Ethan starts his.

“You excited for tonight?” Ethan questions as he grabs my plate and puts it in the dishwasher.

“A little” I say looking away. To be honest I don’t really like parties but my mother insisted that I at least have one with my friends. An of course being the person I am I sighed and agreed hesitantly.

After Ethan finished his breakfast we both headed out the door to school.

AT SCHOOL - LUNCH

“Finally it’s lunch” I said to myself as I walk into the cafeteria.

I immediately see my best friend and go sit with her at our usual table.

“Hey Scarlett” Skyler says as I sit down beside her.

“Hey Skyler” I say back with a big smile.

“Excited for your party tonight?” She exclaimed as she finished her food.

“I guess, won’t be much fun though as I don’t like parties but I am glad it’s only with the group. Im just scared of meeting my mate at school or even outside of school when other pacts come here” I said looking down.

“It’s ok, if he doesn’t accept you the way you are then I’ll beat his ass” she said punching the air like she was punching someone.

I laughed at her goofiness.

AT THE PARTY

The party was already set up. It wasn’t much, only a few fairy lights in a small pillow and blanket fort we made in front of the TV. (DONT JUGDE, I find this cool). The party considered of Skyler (my best friend) Alice (my friend) Ethan and his friend Reese.

Im glad it was small. We were just eating and watching movies until we heard the doorbell go off.

Ethan went to open the door. Ethan knew whoever was at the door as they did bro hugs and talked.

I suddenly smelt this really intoxicating smell. It was Chocolate and Banana. I slowly stood up and went towards the smell.

I got to the door and my eyes widened. ‘No this can’t be happening’ I thought to myself.

Mate” the voice in my head said.

He looked at me and I think his wolf said it too as his eyes were pitch black. His wolf trying to take over.

I ran upstairs into my room and shut the door. ‘No this can’t be happening. No no no’

Authors note

I hope you guys liked the first chapter of my story. I have written stories before but never published them so I’m sorry if this is not a good book.

I don’t know when I’ll be updating my story. I am usually busy with school (studying) and other stuff so please don’t pressure me to upload. I’ll upload when I can.

Thanks for reading. Have a good day.

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me.
