Well Run and Well Done
"The Green Exchange is the Green Shoes' first competition on Inkitt but it was one of the most well run ones I've had the honor of competing in. The rules were clearly stated and if you had any questions, Green Shoes would quickly get back to you and smooth out any issues. The competition evolved when needed, providing a great space for writers of all experience levels to come in and get feedback on their work, learning the good, what needs improving and everything in between. As far as the rubric, it touched on all the essential aspects of storytelling and also online presentation as well that as a whole helps the story reach readers in many ways. It allowed for a clear exchange of feedback. Green Shoes always made sure everyone who wanted their feedback got it in a timely fashion. One of the clearest examples is the Most Improved category, something unlike anything I've seen but it provides an incredible place for writers to receive detailed feedback from the wonderful host and a place to edit their story, eventually competing for the title of Most Improved at the same time the winners are being announced as well. This really helps writers learn and grow, seeing their stories become the best versions of itself. As a judge as well, if there were any issues whether it be concerning a book's availability or if you wanted a second look at your wording, making sure you're clear and also supportive, Green Shoes jumped up and helped whenever needed. Any issues were fixed and rearranging judging assignments if needed while also reaching out to make sure both the people involved found out if Inkitt was deciding to be buggy. It was a well-rounded, great experience on both ends, one of the hallmarks of a great competition. I would absolutely recommend anyone wanting feedback to enter in any future installments, and I would absolutely enter as a judge and participant again as well. "
