Prolog
“Solving mysteries and becoming something to find and save my brother. Hearing screams in my head, that only made me throb. The inability to move and the shivers of freezing temperatures, freezing my muscles. Hearing whispers of different people that did not belong to my parents. The last thing I remember was finding my little brother, and bringing him home. The rest is a blur.”
Aaron sighed deeply, letting out a puff of white. He then opened his eyes slowly, and pushed himself up, as he groaned. He pressed on his head as it ached. When he was fully conscious, he looked around his surroundings and realized that he wasn’t in his room, on his bed, or seeing any other opening besides the door in front of him. The only light that he had was a torch lit with a small burning fire. When Aaron noticed that his little brother wasn’t next to him, he quickly jumped to his feet, and ran towards the door. He tugged and tugged, but no matter how hard he just tugged on the door knob, the door just wouldn’t budge open. When he kicked the door, he ended up unexpectedly denting it, but he didn’t manage to damage it enough to weaken the door.
“L-Let me out!” Aaron shouted in a shivering tone.
When Aaron finally heard footsteps approaching, he kept still and held his breath, until the door opened.
