The Ancient Kingdom

It was said that at the beginning of creation, God created five pairs of werewolves. The pairs lived in harmony in the Realm of Blessing and with time, five pairs became five families and five families became five packs.

To keep peace and order, each pack started to claim their own territory, far from each other, and governed them separately. Decades went by and five packs grew into five kingdoms. They were called Alithus, Dark Crescent, White Moon, Blood Moon, and Black Lunar – each ruled by the direct descendants of the original wolves known as the Pure Clan.

For as long as history could remember, Alithus – been blessed by God – was the most powerful amongst the Pure Clans, allowing them to stand firm above not only against other four kingdoms but also other species. Alithus, although the most powerful was also the most trustworthy, gentle, and compassionate. Thus, under Alithus’ supervision, the Realm of Blessing grew to prosper.

However, after centuries of their existence, a war so great plagued the five kingdoms. Driven by lust, Black Lunar declared war upon Alithus to win the right over all kingdoms, to make Black Lunar Pure Clan the sole ruler of the werewolf kind. Alithus won the war, but with a great price.

The Great War claimed millions of lives, almost wiping out werewolves from the surface of earth. To restore the peace and prevent the same tragedy, Alithus called for Pure Clan Binding, uniting all Pure Clans under one banner of peace.

The oaths had taken place on a piece of deserted land that separated the five kingdoms. The land since was called Irene, the Land of Peace. At the heart of Irene, a sacred altar called The Moon was built with five thrones arranged in a crescent moon shape. Alithus’s throne was built in the middle symbolizing them as the keeper of peace.

The oaths were taken by spilling blood into the Sacred Flame. Only when the true heir to Pure Clans spilled their blood into the flame, did the flames blazed into the color of their respective kingdom. Purple for Alithus, deep blue for Dark Crescent, white for White Moon, red for Blood Moon, and black for Black Lunar. When the first five Pure Clans sealed their oaths into the flame, the date was reset to Year 1.

A new era thus began.
