This is not my home

Echo's P.O.V

I stormed out the house. Damn it to hell, all of it, why couldn't I have just stayed in the ally like I was supposed to? I didn't want to go to Hogwarts anyway, I didn't care if I was magic. I sat on the bottom step and probably looked like a right loser. Eleven, black hair that was way to long, much to skinny and looked like I wanted to hurt someone. I mean, it was all very accurate but still, that wasn't the point.

I hated it here, everything thing about it. My room, the house, and don't even get me started on who I'm stuck living with because I'm already annoyed enough as it is. I threw a stone at the fence and it bounced off. The door opened behind me and someone came out.

"Leave me alone." I said.

"Echo, come inside." he said.

"No." I told him. "You can't tell me what to do."

"I think you'll find I can." He sat down on my right so I looked left. "You don't want to be here do you?"

"You don't want me here." I spat. "I heard you when I first came here, telling Dumbledore so don't deny it. You don't want me here any more then I want to be so do us both a fair and let me leave."

He put a hand on my shoulder before standing up.

"You know I can't do that. Just come back in before it gets to dark." He told me and left.

I walked inside about two and something hours later. And only because I wanted food. I grabbed an apple off the side and a glass of water.

"Are you ever going to have a proper meal?" He asked.

"I don't eat that much. Don't need to." I shrugged and climbed the stairs to my room. My room wasn't much, about the size of an attic space with a small window on one wall. The wall were white and there was a bed on the other side to the door, a small wardrobe next to it. There was also a table and chair by the window. The only thing that made it obvious this was my room was the bundle of blankets in the spare corner. I had tried the bed but I wasn't used to it and didn't like it, I preferred to sleep on the floor, always have, always will.

I sat down on the blankets and put the apple and glass on the floor. I ate my apple and drank the drink as there was a knock on the door.

"Echo, I'm coming in, okay." His voice can through the door. I didn't answer and it opened. He was carrying a small tray and set it down on the table. "Eat."

"I'm not hungry." I shrugged.

"I don't care, you need to eat." He snapped.

"Well, there's one thing we agree on, you don't care." I snapped back.

"Echo Snape." His voice raising slightly. "I get you don't want to be here and your right, I'm not happy about this either but we don't have much of a choice. You need to make the best out of this. We're going to Diagon ally tomorrow so don't stay up late."

"Wait, your taking me home?" I asked, suddenly interested.

"We are getting your school things then coming back. This is your home now Echo." He told me.

"This is not my home." I yelled after him as he walked out of my room and closed the door.

Snape's P.O.V💚

I left Echo to her own self pity. God, that girl, it's like she enjoys giving me a hard time. Since the moment she came here she been cold and sarcastic, not to mention causing problems. I get she raised herself and grew up on the streets, stealing to survive but she doesn't seem to understand that it wasn't exactly legal. But she wasn't listening. The muggle police actually took her to the station for shop lifting.

That had been why I had put off taking her to diagon ally for as long as possible but school started in a week and I couldn't put it off anymore. But I was going to have to keep an eye on her so she didn't try anything. Tomorrow was going to be eventful.
