"Vanessa Ravencroft must be an interesting human to have written such an epic set in the Galactic Chronicles. I am revisiting her writing after first reading everything she wrote years ago. I find I appreciate it more the second time around. She captures your attention and imagination from the beginning in a style that is easy to read and enjoy. I just purchased the Eric Oalfson series to read again from Amazon, and highly recommend all her works. In years ahead when readers talk of great storytellers like Tolkien, Lewis, and Heinlein, I hope Vanessa is recognized for her art."

"I found myself getting into the story by chapter two. A lot of introductions and characters . A great teaser ending with a LOT of loose ends to be hopefully tied up later. I know they will because of the Olafson Series. I have no problems with occasional misspellings and proofreading , as I do it as well. DON'T let that hold you back and indulge yourself in this Pre-Spase faring Terran tale. I enjoyed it intimately ."

"This is a prequel of sorts to a much larger drama that happens a couple thousand years in the future. The Olafson saga is as good as any I have read and ranks up there with some greats in terms of plot and the construction of her universe. Her one detraction is spelling and punctuation but do not let that hold you back. If you want a good start read Greenies. Vanessa is a talented and gifted writer and I eagerly await the conclusion of the Olafson saga."
Awesome prequel to GC series
"I really enjoyed this one because of getting to see some of the characters in the GC series before they became the immortal characters we know and love. Many of Vanessa's stories mention the events that caused humans to become a spacefaring civilization and now we finally get to read about them. There's lots of action and interesting interactions between various species. Black Cloud is probably my favorite character because he is so childish in knowledge and yet has immensely powerful abilities. Yeah, there's a few errors with punctuation and grammar, but overall, the storyline is awesome and I can't wait to read the rest of this one."

"This is an excellent story by an author who writes very well. the only problem areas that I see relate to proofreading and editing. All of the stories by Vanessa are excellent, and I have read them all more than once. I had hoped that they would be better edited and proofread on this site, but it is not to be. I guess you get what you pay for! I do enjoy a writer who sticks to their galaxy and keeps their stories within the same theme. My only hope as a reader is that the book will be finished and it will not be removed from the site half written."
