Chapter 1

The scene starts with a crowd engaged in different activities at a big fair named “KIDPLAY CENTER”.

Sophie, who was enjoying watching different stalls, had no idea where she could start with. The great number of stalls didn’t help her, because they were all for little children and kids which she had no interest in.

She strongly wished she could have her best friends with her.

While she was lost in her thoughts, she didn’t notice her Father and little brother Charlie, buying tickets for a train ride and going for it. She suddenly called,

“I too want to ride the train!”

Her father irritated by her behavior said, “No! I already have our tickets! So go!”

By hearing those words she felt sad and angry at the same time.

The train started slow and without even thinking once, she ran to the seat where her father and brother were seated and sat on the empty seat beside her brother.

“You never allow me to sit in a train!”

she spoke angrily.

“Okay! That’s fine, but you are sitting without a ticket!” her father said questioning.

She immediately came out of the imaginative world into the reality and observed that she was sitting on the ride without buying a ticket. She immediately got off and apologized, “OH! Sorry!”

Sophie walked a few distance and watched her brother enjoy the ride. She eventually started getting bored and hardly wished for her group to appear right in front of her. Because at this time, only they were the one who could make her face light up from this bad mood.

“I wish I could have someone to play with right now.” she spoke to herself in grief.

“Sophie, you know what! We have found a perfect place to play in. Lexi and Annie are waiting for us at that ground! It’s very large and has a lot of empty space. Come let’s go!” Lyra, her best friend called out and came running towards her.

Is this a dream? Was this a coincidence of her friends being present at the same amusement park where she was; or was it something else?

Sophie came out of her thoughts, and by hearing those words her face lit up with happiness.

As the train ride finished, her father and brother were getting out the train.

“Why aren’t you coming?”

her father questioned.

“Can I go and play with my friends, please? They have found a new place nearby to play and it’s safe!” she spoke hesitantly. Her father thought for a moment and shook his head as a sign of yes but it was kind of a confused one, because he was worried about them.

But looking at her face, he agreed.

Sophie and Lyra sprinted at the direction which Lyra showed her, while Charlie and his father continued to the direction to the rest of the rides and stalls in the fair.

As they were near to their destination, they spotted two girls, Lexi and Annie, patiently waiting for these both. As they happily reached them, their face was down.

“What happened?” Lyra asked.

“Look! Those idiot boys, they started playing at our place.” said Annie.
