"I loved the mystery you've created in this book. Each character is well defined and has his/her own personality. Gina is the typical teenage highschooler in her 'rebel' phase portrayed in movies/tv shows, Nikki is a troubled girl with low self confidence but I think there's more to her than you're showing so far, Liam is the handsome nerd who is also broody and too mature for his age; also there is a mysterious aura surrounding his character and Annie is a mixture of them all yet she has a distinctive personality of her own. She doesn't take shit from people and bites back. I always love a strong female lead and she doesn't disappoint. I just hope that it stays that way throughout the book. Liam and Annie seem like star crossed lovers. There are so many questions like, why her uncle never left her and then suddenly trusted other people to take care of her, why her aunt said not to call her, is Nichole being abused, is Liam her childhood friend, etc etc. I hope you'll answer them soon enough and maybe add a bit more about Gina's character? There seems to be a discontinuation with her character arc unlike Nikki's; almost like she's just a filler character. Your language and punctuation is on point & there's enough to keep your readers interested. You're doing a great job Maya, keep it up!!!"
Generic Idea, Unique Execution
"At a first glance, this looks like yet another run-of-the-mill story about the new girl at school falling for the insanely popular stud of a man. However, I can appreciate some decisions that you've made in the world you've started to create that make the plot feel actually quite refreshing. Mainly the fact that the guy with the killer looks isn't some mighty macho that exudes overconfidence, but rather an introverted nerd, and that it is the woman who, despite her shyness, seems to make the advances rather than the man. I could easily list about half a dozen stereotypes you've utterly demolished with just those two decisions you've made, and then there are other, more subtle ones. You have invited us readers to venture into a world that seems plain and boring at first, but becomes more colourful and interesting the more attention you pay to it. That is quite the reward for the committed reader, and a wonderful trait that showcases your skill as a writer! Keep up the great job! Also, I'm so sorry about how long it's taken me to review your book. I was certain I had reviewed it but it looks like I never did. So sorry again for that, and thank you for your patience!"
Interesting Plot!
"To begin with the storyline is fresh and refreshing at the same time. I liked how the story started from a past event and then proceeded to the present. I loved the characters and the dynamics between the two main characters.
