"I compiled all the paperwork as well sir, oh and next week you don't have any meetings but we still need to look at the agenda for the month and schedule everything accordingly" I told Mr Dave with excitement because I know I have a new novel waiting for me to read as soon as I get home from work.

"Oh thank you Loretta, which means you have a week off too, you are the best personal assistant anyone could dream of having" he responded...and left with a silly smile on his face.

I love working with him you know, he is a gentleman, he pays me well and being his personal assistant requires less work because he equally puts in work and we're a great team.

He is tall, slightly darker than me and handsome too, he looks quite young for his age too but that never intimidated me plus he has a lovely wife and I respect them both so much.

Just as I got into my car to drive home, Shelby calls "Bitch, are you home?", so typical of my best friend..."no but I'll be home soon, what's up?" I asked in an annoyed tone because I really just need to get home and read the novel in peace.

"okay I'll meet you there" she said with a naughty laugh before hanging up, not giving me the chance to speak.

In less than 15 minutes, I get home and spot her up on my balcony with a glass of red wine, sometimes I forget she has an extra key to my apartment.

"Girl, it's Friday, let's have some fun, you work too much" she yells as soon as she sees me get off the car.

Maybe Shelby is right, I work too much and certainly need to take a break since I finished with everything, reading my novel and setting up meetings can wait...

"Sure movies?" I asked while smirking.. She instantly knew I was trying to bullshit...

"Are you serious? Movies, really? , you need to loosen up and have fun, when was the last time you went out?" she asked, noticeably she didn't catch the joke, of cause I was going to go out.

"You know what you're right, whatever you want to do tonight, it's on me let's go" I said whilst gazing into her eyes as reassurance.

"Well who else did you think was going to pay for us Loretta, bitch I'm poor" Shelby would hide her pain behind humor, she had been so stressed out about not being able to find a job, but it was more so because she wasn't even trying to look for one.

"You need to take a shower right now, we also need to pick up Seymour from the airport" Shelby hasn't seen her cousin in five years, she often always talked about him and how he is her first best friend, I loved that she had someone to talk to when I would get too busy at work or busy reading novels.

Shelby already laid out a short long-sleeved tight red dress and some black heels and a black purse for me, she obviously chose something for herself from my closet too.

So she chose a super short black off-shoulder tight dress, I was going to give it to her eventually because it still is new and more so her type of style , so I loved that she picked it out..

I tied my hair up in a bun because I'm a black girl with curly hair, I can never go wrong with that, I then lay my edges and help Shelby with hers because for some reason she still can't lay her edges after I taught her a million times.

Shelby just decided to keep her hair straight and not in a bun...

After getting ready we finally headed for the airport.

We made it to the airport and Seymour walked towards us, my heart started racing because he is the most handsome man I have ever set my eyes on.

Never in a million years would I have imagined Shelby's cousin to be so hot. I have never seen pictures of him before, mainly because I did not care to ask.

"Is he...Sey...Sey..."... I forgot how to pronounce his name as I got lost in his eyes the closer he got...

"Yes Loretta, that's my cousin Seymour, he has gotten so tall over the years" said Shelby with no regard to how I just zoned out at the sight of him...

Little did she know that his height was not the only thing I was staring at. His whole physique was just immaculate.

He came closer and reached in to give Shelby a hug, after that he reached in to give me a hug and his scent was breathtaking. "It's Arabic" he says "huh" I asked in a confused tone.

He then whispered "It's an Arabic scent, I noticed how you got a whiff of my cologne"... How embarrassing, he could tell I liked it and he knew how good he smelled..

The smell of his cologne made me think of the unholy things I would do to him if I could.

"So this is the famous Loretta" he said after giving me a hug... He continued to say

"I could've sworn you two are an item because of how much Shelby talks about you"...

We both laughed and Shelby started pulling him by the arm

"Dude let's go.. We have so much to do today, plus I convinced Loretta to finally go out too, so I'm really excited" she said while giggling,

I sometimes say she has an evil giggle, similar to how people have evil laughs. Silly right...
