Prologue: The Chocolate Rabbits
In a town called Sylvania, a family of Chocolate Rabbits lived in a pleasant house. They resided in the hilly part of Sylvania, where most rabbit families were located. Their house had three floors and a green roof. Clover and Princess, the twin rabbits who were both 11, slept on the third floor. Basil, who was 3, slept in the room of Mr. and Mrs. Chocolate Rabbit. Mr. and Mrs. Chocolate Rabbit had a very big king-sized bed, Basil had a tiny crib, and of course, Clover and Princess had a bunk bed.
Princess is very nice, very neat and very princess-like. Unlike her sister, Princess HATES when their room is messy. She’s the type of rabbit who would spend a whole hour combing their fur. She owns a collection of combs, which she keeps jammed in a box under her desk. Princess has a lot of friends, Max Jaguar, Amir Meerkat and many more.
Meanwhile, Clover is slightly tomboyish, and doesn’t care if she tracked mud into the house or kept her room messy. Unlike her sister, she dislikes the color pink and the color purple. Clover is also very carefree, and she often enjoys the sun right on the roof. She doesn’t have that many friends, mostly because she likes to keep to herself sometimes. She has best friends though, and those are Elle Elephant and Maki Duck!
Basil, the youngest, has a particular interest in turnips. She is very cute and sometimes a little loud and annoying. Even though she’s only three, she can run and walk pretty well. Basil is currently learning how to climb ladders. After all, there are two in the Chocolate Rabbit household! Basil also has lots of friends, like her cousin, Zach Milk Rabbit, and her BEST FRIEND EVER, Zeke Elephant.
Mr. Chocolate Rabbit is the one who works a night shift in the local hospital. He cooks breakfast for the twins and Mrs. Chocolate Rabbit before they leave, lunch for himself and Basil, and a snack. He also participates in the Sunday market. Mr. Chocolate Rabbit’s quilt stand is one of the most popular stalls in the market! He sewed them himself (with a little bit of help from Mrs. Chocolate Rabbit)
Mrs. Chocolate Rabbit is well-known in Sylvania, because she not only owns the biggest orchard, but also because she runs her own grocery store! She was gifted the orchard from her grandfather before he passed away. She also purchased and renovated a farm all by herself. Mrs. Chocolate Rabbit comes home at around 6 o’clock to cook dinner before Mr. Chocolate Rabbit leaves for his work.
