The Bedroom.

You awake to a sound. Your eyes bolt around your room. Nothing. Yet, how can that be? The sound was that of a grunt, human or not. You could not tell. Already half scared to death, you decide not to check. And you close your eyes, now you sleep. A good 30 minutes pass, and yet. You're still curious, you're still....unsure.

All of a sudden you hear a creak, but you reassure yourself. It's most likely a rat, scurrying around in the attic. You calm down and lay back down, but you're numb. You, are scared. Though, you have tried hard to act fine, and calm. You can't, because you know it can't be a rat. Rats don't have giant boots, that stomp loudly on the attic floor. They have little paws that can't fit in boots. For they are small, but a person. Well, a person could fit in those boots. Yet, why would there be a person in your attic? Ha, they should be in their own attic! But, deep down. You know, that they know that they're in your attic. You feel your heart starting to pump and you know. That they too, are curious. That they too, want to know, who else is in this house? But you can't check the attic, but they can check your room. Without a doubt, they'll come down at some point, to check on you. To see who you are, to see that you are nothing but another person. That they, could hurt. But, maybe they are not a bad person. Maybe they are nothing but a joyful baker, that will make you cookies! But, again. Deep down, you know that they are not. And only you, will know that they are if you check. But you do not want to check, you want to stay in your room. Not because you are scared, no! You are just, tired. But. Curiosity killed the cat.
