True portrayal of violence in a relationship
"The author portrayed violence in a romantic relationship without making excuses for the abuser. Many stories romanticize violence; not this one, and it is right not to do it. Just reading about what Gemma is going through ties my stomach into a knot. The only thing that I do not like is narrating the story in 1st person, because I don't think it adds to it being more realistic. Apart from that, the author weaves a nuanced story with many layers. For the six chapters I've read so far, I give it solid five stars overall."

"I really enjoyed this book... It starts very slow at the beginning but then you really get hooked onto it.. The story keeps you on suspense and makes you want to keep on reading. Really loved the characters and how the story evolves. As for the way that the story is written, it has improved from the first one a little. Highly recommended this author and her books.. Never disappoints.. Looking forward for the next story."
