Alone

Ok so this is kinda weird, this is the second installment to a Tim Drake trilogy, before this, Tim’s parents already knew he’s Robin, they haven’t allowed him to go out as Robin anymore but he still does so a few nights. This one night, he’s out Robining he notices there has been an attack at his street, he freaks out, calls batman and goes to the rescue, He reaches and finds nearly 15 henchmen with Captain Boomerang leading them, he fights all of them, a little brutally this time and when he goes to the door in which they have kept his parents captive, opens it to find out the handle was rigged with a bomb inside, the bomb explodes and then arrives Batman, he gets saved as the metal door falls on his face and takes the damage. Boomer leaves the scene with no damage while the henchmen seem to have died, along with his parents. He tries digging to find something and finds the necklace his mum always wore. He starts crying when batman sees all this, remembering he was in the same spot not too long ago, puts his hand on his head, and it cuts to the house, Alfred enters the room where Tim is already sitting on the windowsill, Alfred, surprised asks him what happened.

“I couldn’t save them, Alfred.” (Tim feels more guilt as he feels it was Boomers revenge for arresting him a few weeks ago)

“oh no, Master Tim, it wasn’t your fault, whoever did this will pay”

“they were right there...I could have waited”

“you were this close to loosing your parents that time, no one can blame you for what you did”

“But Alfred...Boomer”

“What about him”

“I locked him up 2 months ago, hit his crimes pretty hard...he was in Arkham for those months...”

“I remember...”

“This...all this, isn’t a coincidence...he wanted to take revenge...somehow found out who I was and...took everything from me”

“Maybe take some time off” snatching the mask from Tim. “its for your own benefit”

Tim slowly walks out, sad...alone, lost his family...

He takes some time off of everything, staying alone and healing. He lost his family.. his direction and purpose...

Anger however takes control... trying to find out who in Arkham gave away his identity to Boomer he starts investigating everyone he thought already knew him...Scarecrow...Riddler....the Joker, nothing. no one gives away anything...well, not until the end of his interrogation with the Joker...slowly walking away the joker whispers...

Well...boy wonder....maybe this time it wasn’t about you...he

"What do you mean?”

You know...as far as I’m concerned...you don’t need a reason...not always

"wha-” he begins to speak before the already menacingly laughing joker is pulled away by the guards

“Maybe...it wasn’t about me...”

“Why...why did he kill them...I just want to know...”
