Make a Healthy man faint
“The vacuum or the void, is the component that makes up the majority of everything. It is responsible for framing an important part of a universe. However incoherent it may sound, the vast “chain of universes” has been proven to exist beyond the premises of text books and written records. In other words, the existence of the mythical “Multiverse” has been proven to be more than just a myth. It is the underlying truth of everything. Scientists have been able to contact the life existing in the various universes, studies show that each universe contains a variant of every person in our own universe. This is the biggest leap mankind has ever taken till date, 20th January 2034”
Such were the headlines of the “Regular Post”, the daily newsletter that traversed the entirety of New York.
“Conner, come check this out!” The squeaky voice of a 12-year-old was heard.
“What happened now Ron? Coming-“
Conner Valentine was the average 14-year-old leading the simple, boring yet mysterious life that any kid his age would do. He lived with his parents and younger brother, Ron in their cozy home down the lane of Brington Street. Conner always has had immense interest in subject of matter, the universe and everything that exists.
In contrast to his interest, the news Ron showed him had bewildered Conner.
“Look! They found out the multiverse or something!” Exclaimed Ron.
Conner snatched the paper from Ron’s hand while his jaw dropped in sheer shock. He kept staring at the paper, his eyes scanning the entire page with anticipation.
“RON! THIS IS THE MOST WONDERFUL NEWS I HAVE HEARD IN MY LIFE!!!” Screamed Conner, bubbling with joy and excitement.
He danced around the room and jumped from cushion to cushion. His theories had proven to be true and not complete blasphemy. His endless nights of research and calculations had proven to be literal and none of his hard work had gone to waste.
Hugging hos brother he danced with him throughout the room.
“T-that- That’s enough-“Gasped Ron, his words barely escaping his mouth.
Conner had finally gathered control over his unstable body and sat down on a chair, a wide smile lighting up his face.
“Conner! By God what have you done?!” A man in his mid-40s with a prolonged moustache and a striped shirt came stumbling in the room, in complete shock on witnessing his surroundings.
“DAD! THEY FOUND THE MULTIVERSE! WHAT DO YOU EXPECT!”
The sound of China shattering broke the momentary peace the room had.
Another figure stumbled in the room, mostly around the same age as the former, the brunette was terrified at the scene. Her glasses almost slipped from her sweaty ears.
“DILAN! CONNER! WHAT HAPPENED- I- ARE YOU OKAY?!”
Dilan had fainted on the floor with his last sip of coffee drooling from his mouth, quite near to broken pieces of the cup.
“Well mom, he fainted out of joy.” Conner reassured Rachel, his mother.
“Out of joy you say? WELL, IT DOESEN’T MATTER, HE FAINTED ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. WHAT IS SO JOYFUL THAT CAUSED A HEALTHY MAN TO FAINT?!”
“I would tell you but I’m afraid you will suffer the same fate.”
“Tch! Of-course not! They didn’t find the multiverse or something!”
“That’s precisely the news that caused a healthy man to faint”
Before she uttered a word, Conner rushed to his mother keep her from falling.
“Oh- I- I- it’s fine I just- feel a little dizzy-“ Rachel uttered these words, before, finally suffering the same fate.
“What a scene Conner. What do we do now?”
“I’ll go and do some more research; I think you should clean up the mess.”
“Hey! That’s not fair, why do I need to clean this up?”
“Because your not the one who spent 24 weeks researching the multiverse.”
“Gah! Fine!”
Conner climbed up the spiral staircase leading to his room while Ron began organizing the mess.
His excitement was still filled to brim of his face. As he rushed into his room, he gave himself a pat on the back and began looking through the bundles of paper to find a certain series of documents he intended to find. They were old crumbled pieces of paper bound by a folder that had clearly felt the influence of many years of abondance. Conner opened the folder and began reading the contents of the same chronologically in his mind.
