"A love story with plenty of twists and turns. I usually feel a little uncomfortable with male heroes and females needing to be rescued. However, there was just enough strength in Angeline's character and originality of plot to keep me absorbed from the first page to the last. Highly recommended to all lovers of fantasy. "

"The plot has been done to death. Sexy, powerful man ends up with a mild meek young girl. They end up falling in love. However, it is all about the execution. Cedric has a very demeaning name for the woman he has chosen, but it is kinda sexy at the same time. I'm not sure if the relationship between Cedric and Angeline should have been expanded a bit, because at times it feels a bit rushed. Perhaps Cedric's back story should be just a bit closer to the front of the book, but it works if the author wanted to keep us reading to eventually find that out. I did have an issue with Vladimir. I am not going to say what it was so as not to spoil it for others, but Vladimir's story is very familiar. All in all, this was an amazing story. Read and enjoy."

"This story was a great read. The characters were realistic and engaging, the world it was set in made sense, and the plot was page turning. It was great to get to read this story, as Cedric fought for love and against a curse. I enjoyed the turns that the plot took, as they weren't cliche and very relevant to the story! "I love the old-timey writing style, and the discription of the settings, characters and creatures is stunning. I found the plot moved a bit quickly in places but I adored the fights and conflicts. If I had one small gripe, I'd say I don't care for it as a romance, since it seems like the latest in a line of recent fictional relationships which stem from abuse, such as Harley Quinn and the Joker, or those people from 50 shades, but it didn't draw from my enjoyment. Definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys medieval fantasy."
