Chapter 1

The clouds stood in the blue sky over VN University. At one of the break courts sat a young man named Sejun, who was eagerly awaiting the arrival of a friend he met here two years ago.

University life was hard! He had to get up early to rush to classes and on some days, he’d only have one lecture to attend to. Things got boring after a while, especially with his new schedule, so he applied for a job on campus in the library.

It wasn’t the best of jobs, but it was quiet. He’d occasionally have to speak to another human outside of lectures and the best part, he could eat as much snacks as he wanted and he wouldn’t get yelled at.

His part-time job also helped in cases of extramural activities, but the librarian worried he might be a loner, but that was not the case for Sejun. He was pretty popular with both girls and guys, but he—you can say he isn’t interested because he didn’t find anyone to his liking yet.

Secretly, he loved to write too, romance especially, but for him romance didn’t work out at all and the relationship advice he always gave out was draining, but at least his fans gave him hope but then again, they thought he was female.

Sejun smiled at the Noona who approached him. Standing up, he heard her say, “Awe Sejun-ah, always on time. Noona’s sorry for keeping you waiting.”

Sejun smiled, embarrassed, “It’s okay, Noona, I had time to spare.”

Doyun was a year older than him, but because Sejun went to complete his mandatory military service right after school, he was a year behind her. Not that he mind, his friends were still his friends and there was no rush since his major was Literary, which he was perfect for his future job as a translator.

Doyun looked at the chocolate in his hand and asked, “Is that for me?”

“How can it be? I’ve already eaten it,” he said, embarrassed as he crushed the wrapper.

Doyun was taken aback and nodded slowly while she placed her hair behind her ear. She sat down and said, “You’re so mean, Sejun-ah.”

Sejun saw nothing wrong. Sitting down, he asked, “What can I do for you, Noona?”

She looked at him expectantly and said, “Sejun-ah, my club is holding a get together for a group of boys from our year who are returning from their military training. It’s always fun when you are around and I want you to meet them all. Will you come with me?”

Sejun stared at her, baffled. ‘Nice one, Noona,’ he gave her a high-five in his head. Fixing his expression, he pouted, “Noona, you aren’t fair. Why didn’t you tell me about this long ago? I can’t clear up my schedule at the last minute.”

Doyun pouted, “I am unfair? Sejun-ah, I always invite you but you alway reject me. At this point, I’m certain you don’t like me.”

Sejun forced a smile, thinking, ‘Well done, Noona.’ But got up and sat down beside her. He hugged her, saying, “I’m sorry, Noona, you know that I have to study languages. It’s hard, but I am trying my best to free up my schedule, which is hard when I have twelve languages to study by the end of the semester.”

“You’re not cute,” she said, pushing him away with her finger.

Sejun pouted, “Really, Noona, at least tell me, three months in advance.”

“Alright!” She said as her shoulders slumped. Getting up, she looked at him reluctantly and said, “Sejun-ah, I’ll see you then.”

“Mn,” he hummed with a smile, “See you around Noona.”

Sejun slumped in the chair behind the receptionist’s desk and took out his books. Switching his laptop on, he connected to the Wi-Fi then looked at the book in front of him. His eyes rolled to the back of his head and he groaned, ‘Why did I have to choose this damn major?’

Shaking out his shoulders, he got to work. Sejun was gifted with great photographic memory and could keep so much information in a minute, going through twenty pages in a minute, it was still slow compared to other geniuses that worked for the government but he never let anyone important to know how gifted he was.

A man walked up to the receptionist’s desk, wanting to get a few books checked out on the system. He needed them for classes tomorrow and he couldn’t find them on the shelves.

He looked at the person who had his nose in a weird-looking book and one hand on his laptop, typing without looking. “Excuse me, can you help me find these books?” He asked, but he didn’t get a response.

He grew annoyed and looked around the library. There was basically no one here, so could he yell? He wanted to, but didn’t have the energy.

Leaning over the desk, he saw a notebook marked with the characters for ‘Gae Sejun.’

Sejun had a pencil in his mouth that he would so often take out to mark something, then place it back. He smirked as he leaned against the desk. The boy looked cute from this angle. He tilted his head, wondering how he looked.

A hint of mischief lingered in his eyes. Reaching over, he grabbed the pencil out of Sejun’s mouth. Sejun’s head shot up with a glare.

The man stood back, dumbfounded. Sejun’s gaze also turned to a look of dumbfound. He shot up from the chair as he realised who was in front of him, saying, “Shit, it’s you!”

The man had panic all over his eyes. How could they have met again so soon? His eyes darted around, looking for an answer. He quickly collected himself, stealing his expression, and chucked the pencil on the desk.

Fixing his shirt, he said, “No need to be so loud. I’ve been calling you for five minutes, but you won’t pay attention to me.”

Sejun frowned. He looked around and saw that there was no one around them. Calming down with a guarded gaze, he cleared his throat and asked, “How, how can I assist you?”

He looked down at the paper in his hand and handed it over. “I can’t find these books, is it still available?”

Taking the paper, Sejun looked at it, reading the names he wondered, ‘You’re an architecture student?’ He looked at the computer and searched up the names. His lips slowly formed a pout as he wrote what came up.

The man’s head tilted to the left as he gazed at him. A smile formed on his lips as he thought of how Sejun’s lips felt against his. He had a lingering urge to bite those lips again.

Sejun suddenly stood up, pulling him from his thoughts. “The books are here, but I don’t know why you couldn’t find them,” he mumbled and walked off.

The man followed him and frowned. Sejun was overly covered, or was the clothes he was wearing just big?

*

They stopped at the architecture section. Sejun looked up and down for the five books that he needed. “Did you look here?”

“No, on the other side, I didn’t even know this place existed,” he answered.

Sejun looked over his shoulder as he pulled the first book out of the shelf. He handed it to him and said, “Korean palaces.”

He looked down at it and mumbled, “Thanks.”

Sejun nodded his head and continued looking. The man looked up from the book he was reading at Sejun and saw that he was crouching down. His shirt’s neckline was hanging open and around his neck, he could see a tattoo in the shape of a compass.

“Why the compass?” He asked.

Sejun looked up at him, confused as he brought up the second book, “Famous Buildings.” Handing it to him, he looked at his chest and couldn’t shake off an odd feeling and asked, “Must you be perverted?”

The man smirked. “It was just a question.”

Sejun rubbed his chest. “How did you even see it?”

“Don’t wear big clothes next time,” he answered.

“It’s none of your business. Be quiet while I look for the books,” he said and walked off.

The man smirked as he walked after him. Sejun wasn’t short, but the book he was trying to reach for was high, even for him. He reached up behind him and took the book down. Sejun turned to him, confused as he asked, “Is it this one?”

Sejun nodded his head.

Throwing the books down, he looked at Sejun and said, “Do you want to repeat it?”

“Repeat what?” He asked.

The man stepped towards him, caging him between the bookshelf and his chest. Leaning his head towards him, he asked, “That night?”

Sejun quickly shook his head and shoved his hands against his chest. “No, no, I’ll scream.”

“Then scream,” he teased him.

Sejun was dumbfounded. This was nothing like in his books. Were guys really this bold? He opened his mouth to scream but his mouth was encased by the man’s, whose tongue swept into his mouth, hungry to devour him.

Sejun’s heart was beating fast as he shut his eyes tight. This man, he was doing the same as he did before, having his way with his mouth as if it was his.

“Sejun-ah!” The librarian called for him.

Both of them caught a fright and looked at each other. The man quickly stepped back and rubbed his hand across his face and groaned, “Sorry I, I don’t know what happened.”

He picked up the books and walked off. Sejun dropped to the ground, trembling. He couldn’t even fight against him. Why? And how?

It all happened AGAIN!
