À la première journée d'école, un nouvel élève m'a approchée en me disant qu'il savait, je ne sais pas trop comment, que j'avais vu une de ces créatures étranges. Il m'a invitée dans une école spécialisée pour les Aasimars. Mais qu'est-ce que c'est ? Et qu'est-ce qui se passe ? Une nouvelle école, de nouveaux amis, de nouveaux enjeux. Une nouvelle façon de vivre et trop de secrets. Et surtout, de nouveaux ennemis... Qui aurait pu croire que moi, Lindsay Taylor, puisse me retrouver piégée pour sauver notre monde ?
