Muffy's birthday

A young lady is walking down the street at night. She goes inside her apartment building, walks up the stairs, opens her door...when she is greeted by her cat "Muffy".

She closes the door behind her and says: “How was your day Muffy?” Muffy replies with a gentle meow as usual. The young lady thinks back to when she first saw Muffy.

*It was a bright and sunny day. The young lady got out of bed, got dressed and brushed her teeth. She was walking down stairs when she saw the family cat "Fluffy" with a bunch of kittens. Her mother informs her that the family cat Fluffy had given birth to 4 kittens during midnight. The kittens were named Puffy, Duffy, Guffy and the youngest Muffy.

To much displeasure of Fluffy all her children were put on sale. Everytime she couldn't find one of her kittens anymore she would blankly stare at the young lady's mother. Eventually all the kittens were sold off except for Muffy. Weeks went by, but no one seemed interested in welcoming the young kitten into they're family.

The young lady couldn't figure out why. After all, in her eyes Muffy was the most adorable kitten anyone could ever ask for. It was almost time for the young lady to leave her home state for

college, and she had already started to feel lonely. So she thought about taking Muffy with her to solve this problem.

She approached her mother about adopting Muffy.

A week later. The young lady was sitting in her room thinking about her childhood. When she heard the voice of her mother yelling at her to hurry up. She picks up her suitcase and Muffy's cage and goes down stairs.

She says goodbye to her mother and the family cat Fluffy. But Fluffy's eyes are locked at Muffy's cage. The young lady puts her suitcase and Muffy's cage in the trunk of the Uber. When she closes the trunk, Fluffy's eyes immediately switch to the young lady's mother.

She stared at the young lady's mother with the exact same blankness in her eyes she had when her other children were taken away from her.

That blank stare was the last thing the young lady ever saw at her old home, as a week after moving out both her mother and Fluffy had gone missing without a trace.

“Its been four years snice then.” Says the young lady somberly. “Meow” says Muffy looking up at the young lady. “I bet you miss your mom too huh?” Muffy doesn't reply. “WAIT!" The young lady's face freezes with a distressed look.

“No! No! No! How could I forget!” She quickly pulls her phone out and checks something, this seems to have calmed her down. “Your birthday is tomorrow Muffy. I thought it was today and I had forgotten.” The young lady giggles in relief.

She puts her phone on her bed and gets in the shower. While she is showering the power cuts out . “Why is it always me?” says the young lady, tired and annoyed. She feels her hands around on the wall looking for the doorknob. “why are the walls so damn cold?” The cold walls greatly confused the young lady as she was taking a hot shower. She soon finds the doorknob and gets out.

She saw that her apartment was nearly pitch black with only moon light peaking through her window curtains. She picked up her phone to turn on the torch but she soon realized something, her phone was dead. She was so tired she had forgotten to charge it. “Ok, I'm genuinely getting pissed off at this poin...” A loud noise cuts her off. The noises which resembled human screams were echoing from outside her apartment . “What is going on?!” she says breathing heavily out of fear. The young lady stands there frozen not knowing what to do when...the screams stop.

The young lady hears a meow behind her and quickly turns her head to look. ”Puffy!? How the hell did yo” She gets cut off by another moew coming from the left of her, "Duffy?! Another moew from the right, "Guffy?!" She hears another meow come from Infront of her, "Muffy?" The young lady whispers in confusion. Her confusion quickly turns into immense fear, as The same human-like screams she had heard moments earlier once again emerge from all sides of her.

She covers her ears with her hand to protect her from the gut wrenching screams. “GOD HELP ME PLEASE! SAVE ME FROM WHATEVER IS HAPPENING!” She yells out helpless and scared for her life. In that moment of extreme distress she notices something, there are 3 deformed looking humanoid creatures standing where she saw Puffy, Duffy and guffy.

These grotesque creatures were the size of human children, they had human-like skin wrapped around cat-like limbs with the bones heavily stretching the skin. They had patches of fur on they're backs but They're stomachs were completely hairless. They're body's were disgustingly disportional, with stubby legs and long and boney arms.

But the worst thing by far were they're faces. They had cat like heads with no fur, human-like eyes and jaws with 3 rows of human-like teeth. all 3 of them had they're mouths wide open making that terrible screaming noise which was gradually getting louder and louder.

All 3 of them jumped onto the young lady, using they're long boney arms to restrain her. One of them even covering her mouth, preventing her from screaming. The young lady's head now turned toward the wall and noticed the clock on the wall and more importantly the time,12 am.

The young lady's eyes quickly switch to Muffy, who was also transforming into one of those creature's. But this was different. Unlike Muffy's grotesque looking siblings, Muffy's transformation seemed completely human. Muffy looked like a tall human male wearing a white suit, but Muffy's skin was the same colour as his fur, and he had 2 small horns on his head.

The young lady, still not able to speak, stares at Muffy with a look of extreme confusion and fear. Muffy proceeds to kneel down to get closer to the young lady and says: “I am grateful for all that you have done for me Sonya” The young lady's eyes widen hearing Muffy say her name.

“But if I must prosper you shall be vanquished. I know the loss of your mother has been very hard on you. And while my siblings despise you and your bloodline for separating us, I do not have any hard feelings towards you as you have done a lot for me.”

“In return I will make sure you and your mother reunite soon. I will make this as painless as I possibly can.” Muffy reaches out his hand towards the young lady. The young woman In fear of her life starts thrashing around and tries to beg for her life. But it's no use. As soon as Muffy's hand touches her head, her eyes lose all light and she stops moving. “You can eat her now.” Says Muffy, as he climbs outside the window transforming back into a cat and disappearing into the night.
