I was tired of the same ’ol shit. Hear me out ya girl was 24 and boring as fuck. I was spending another Friday night at home for the 12th week in a row. Don’t get me wrong I loved doing shit but never found the time and since me and Montay broke up a bitch was bored. I tried to busy myself but I was already all caught up even ahead of my school work. See I was currently working on my Master’s at Georgia state and I also worked full-time at Emory as an assistant to one of the hospital’s best psychologists Dr.Samuels. Yeah, it all sounds good but do you ever feel like you missed out on something doing something else? That’s me currently.

“Bitch is you coming or nah?”
I tossed my phone down getting up to take a shower.

Incoming call from Kesha
I answered putting her on speaker as I turned on the shower.
“Can a bitch get ready first?” I yelled into the phone. I already know this bitch was over me as I chuckled,
“Bitch don’t even play. You know damn well I had to call cause yo hoe ass will try to play me like last time. ‘Oh Kesh I’m too tired’ aht aht no bitch not today.” She laughed as she mocked me.
Me and Kesha been cool for about 5 years now. I met her during my senior year in high school when I moved to Atlanta after my parents got separated and we been cool ever since. Honestly, she was one of the closest friends I have ever had and I loved her like a sister cause no matter what she always had my back.
“You can literally hear me turning on my shower!” I told her getting in it.
“Okay, bitch cause ima be there in about two hours so be ready.” She told me. Kesha ass was impatient, she always has been.
“Bitch I know danggg. You always tryna rush other people but you hate being rushed.” I told her.
“Girl you trippin. Correction I give y’all the time frame and y’all exceed the time. I be ready.“Kesha yelled over my shower.
“Well bitch lemme get ready and ima call you back.” I responded.
“Coo and bitch wear something cute. Nah, nah lemme say sexy. Cause the last time yo ass came out in some damn flats.” Kesha laughed.
“Bitch don’t do me or my flats.” I laughed at her.
“Ight bitch I said ‘sexy’ don’t make me come pick out yo outfit” Kesha yelled before she hung up.
I laughed cause I know this bitch was dead serious. I don’t care what she say I still looked cute in my flats that night. It’s cool though I got the outfit a while back I’ve been wanting to wear. I had got it for Montay’s and me second-anniversary dinner but since it had been months it was time to give it a spin.
I finished my shower and walked to my closet to get ready. I grabbed my outfit, set it out, and started on my makeup.
By the time I was done I damn near couldn’t believe it myself. It was a whole different Joy. I was now ‘Joi’ as I chuckled to myself.
I did a full face with lashes. Normally I’ll do some gloss and that’s it but since Kesha said sexy I was going to give that vibe and more.
I finished putting on lotion and preparing for the night.
I left my hair Curly only adding mousse as it fell down my back.
“Dayumm” I looked over myself once more and had to admire I haven’t felt this confident in myself in a while.
I wore a black body suit that had a cut out around my stomach covering my breast and left me with an open back. I had paired it with some gold heels to match my jewelry and clutch and headed for the door since I know Kesha’s ass was finna be pounding on my door.
