"Now that you've got my attention...! Immediately, some rising action portends a possible unsavory demise or mishap for the protagonist. Her disheveled state and determination to survive lend to the action and evoke pangs of our encounters with evil. Maybe the demon that chases us is not the same demon that is stalking her, but we've all had or will have our very own confrontation to surmount. Be encouraged to continue in your writing, as I like the elements of your story."
