Introduction
Once again, all of them stayed outside the chamber doors where she had locked herself. It had been a day since she had hidden herself, even going on a hunger strike at the discovery of the truth.
A past she never had, but a past that she owned. It ran in her blood, and she didn’t want to accept it.
The guardian was the first to approach her door covered in vines that still hadn’t left the place. A sign that she still wasn’t ready to come out, but she had to.
“Hera...” He knocked quite loudly, hoping she wouldn’t ignore him. “I know you’re in shock, but everything will be alright.”
The captain of swordsmen scoffed. “You think you’d want to come out if you were in her place?” He rolled his eyes and pushed himself off the wall he was leaning on. “It’s a huge family mess that. That old hag really messed up everyone’s lives.”
“She thinks everything is her fault when it isn’t.” The captain clenched his fist, wanting to break something, pummel anything until it was unrecognizable. “And the worst part is...
She thinks I’ll break her.
Hurt her.
Hate her.”
The assassin raised her brows at his dramatics. Hera was rubbing off on him, and so was Tom.
“She’s my fated. I’ll burn the world for her if she wishes for it.” He whispered, his hand lay on the vine-covered door.
