Throughout the narrative, there are depictions of physical abuse and thoughts of suicide. The overall tone of this book is pretty dark, with licks of dark comedy littered here and there.
With this in mind, I do hope you enjoy reading this book that is close to my heart, and that you can find some truth in Everly's story.
