Prologue
Years ago, I could still remember my dad happy, he tucked me in bed after telling me a story, “will you go away just like mama did?” I asked my blue eyes full of curiosity “no I would never leave you baby” he kissed my forehead and ruffled my hair.
Everyday, the smile on his face depleted, he was hardly happy except when I’m around him. I knew his missed mum, but I also missed her too.
He shouldn’t let this get to him, the day he got married to Aunt Lisa, I saw that look of pure happiness on his face that I hadn’t seen in years unknowingly Aunt Lisa and her children are evil. I could still remember the day he packed his bags and kissed me on the forehead and said “I’ll always be with you and promise me you would give the best at life if you don’t see me after now” I didn’t understand what he meant but I just nodded. His smile fell like he knew what would happen and just like that the next day he was announced dead. I felt all cold on the inside and cried my eyes out
I was just fifteen years old since my dad passed away, no one knew what caused it. He just disappeared like mum.
That day was the day Aunt Lisa unveiling who she’s, she tortured me day by day, made me wishing to die but I kept on going I just had to.
that was until I met Cole Carter. He made me want to change to that sweet naive girl I once was but I couldn’t make the same mistake again not even for my own mate . He made me realize that I was broken and instead of running away from it I had to embrace it and make peace with it.
