I disagree with the other two reviews,. to many people attempt to make long stories and fail, sometimes short is best. You set out to tell us most traumatic event in this person life and you succeeded.. Sure you could explain the ramification but that would be beyond the scope of the basic story. My biggest gripe is your grammar followed by the dumping effect (which is literally giving us no back story as to the mom, her family and giving no emotional growth time. Imagine watching an action film and just cutting to the big fight at the end without introducing the characters)
