Danger TV
The sound was like an industrial engine that refused to
start. There was no engine in my
living room, but a black panther stared out of the screen. I assumed it was Animal Planet. My six-year-old son, Damon, was hiding
behind the sofa.
“What are you doing behind the sofa?”
“That’s a dangerous animal.” He pointed to the TV screen.
“Sure, but it’s only a TV program, it can’t see you. It only works one way.”
“Are you sure, Mom?”
“Of course. Look, I’m not afraid.” I turned away from the TV.
He hid his eyes. Just then a terrific blow knocked me to the floor and I heard a coughing roar as something clamped on to my neck.
