Chapter 1

Johnathan’s door opened the moment we entered his apartment and he barely shut the door as he took my dress off. “You are so much hotter.”

“What about Tess and my husband?”

“I don’t want her, I never have. I want you.”

It was wrong and doing this could ruin my marriage with Brett and my relationship with Tess forever.

*** Six months earlier:

Kristen

“So, you’re really setting her up on a blind date?”

I looked at Brett and nodded. “She’s single, why not?”

“She has been trying to sabotage us for months, Kris.”

“Well, maybe this’ll get us off her mind. Besides... we’re both looking for someone to spice our marriage up, right?”

Brett smirked. “As long as he doesn’t take you away from me.”

“You’re my husband, Brett. I wouldn’t do that to you.”

He smiled and kissed me. “Go have fun. I’ll see you later.”

After I left the house, I drove to Tess’s to tell her the surprise I had planned.

Tess

“Girl, we need to get you a man.”

I rolled my eyes at Kristen who had her face glued to her phone. “I am capable, Kris.”

“It doesn’t hurt to look, sis.”

“I don’t need your help.”

“Well, too late because here.” She handed me her phone and smiled. “I set up a profile on Tinder for you.”

“Kris!”

“You never know! Maybe you’ll hit it off with someone.”

“Yeah, I’m sure a man will be interested in a single mom.”

“Not necessarily.”

“Yeah, well I would’ve been married to Brett by now, but you know... you guys ruined that.”

Kristen scowled. “I didn’t ruin anything. Besides, we’re in an open relationship, I explore Tinder as well and I took it upon my own hands and found someone for you to meet. Tonight.”

“What?”

“Oh, come on! There are plenty of HOT Floridian men around here.”

“You’re lucky I love you.”

Kristen smiled. “He said he’d meet you at Jenei’s Club at 7. I’ll even come with you if that helps.”

“Really?”

“Yes. For moral support.”

“God you are the best.”

“Of course.”

I was beyond nervous. I’ve never used any online dating app before, but Kristen had my best interest in mind.

“Mom would not approve of this skirt.”

Kristen smirked. “Just let loose, Tess. You aren’t a little girl anymore. Just enjoy yourself for once, okay?”

I nodded. “I’ll try.”

Once we got to the club, Kristen beelined straight to the bar and ordered a drink, several men already eying. She was lucky to be married. But that’s what being a cam girl does, she only got lucky with Brett.

She handed me a drink and smiled. “Here.”

“I hate whiskey.”

“You might like this brand.”

Nodding, I threw the whisky back and coughed. “Aww, you’re an amateur!”

“This is disgusting, how do you drink this shit?”

“You get used to it.”

Kristen was already three drinks in when I noticed a guy with brown hair enter the club, heading straight towards me. “Hi, you must be Tess.”

“I am.”

“I’m Johnathan Quick.”

“Nice to meet you,” I shouted in his ear. “Thanks for meeting me tonight.”

“It was no problem.”

I saw him look at Kristen and raised his eyebrows. “Does she need help?”

“She’s a huge drinker on the weekends.”

He nodded. “Well, let’s enjoy ourselves.”
