Cretaceous Chaos
Splash!! A ship was sailing in the ocean. It was a ferry. On the ferry were people. They were going to Jurassic Zone, a place where people brought dinosaurs back to life! On the ferry a boy named Jack, his friends Ben, John, and Hank couldn’t wait to go to Jurassic Zone. Jack had been to Jurassic Zone a few times and his favorite place was Dina Volcana. So, they booked a hotel in Dina Volcana.
Bump!! They had arrived!!
The four friends ran off to check in at the hotel.
“What are your names and your ages?“, the person at the reservation table asked.
“I am Jack Connors and these are my friends Ben Taser, John Quart, and Hank Roller. We are all 18 years old,” Jack replied.
They got their room keys and put their stuff inside the room and then they went to see the dinosaurs! First, they went on the zip line across the Herbivore zone. They saw brachiosauruses and triceratopses and stegosauruses! It was awesome!! Then they went to go on the guided gyro sphere ride through the Carnivore zone. Their guide was a man that trained velociraptors. His name was Bob.
“Everyone ready to go?“, he asked and without waiting for an answer he took off. They drove through many places like the t-rex enclosure and the raptor encounter. When they were almost back at the zip line when all the security cameras started beeping!!
BEEP!! BEEP!! BEEP!! BEEP!!
On the security camera’s screen, it said “DANGER!! All fences have been broken!! We will evacuate the park! Last ferry, helicopter, or airplane leaves in 1 hour!!!”
All tourists started driving the fastest they could!! The only people left were Jack, Ben, John, Hank, and Bob! Suddenly they heard a growl!! Then a T-Rex hit them with its tail!! They got out of their gyro spheres!
Bob shouted “Brown, Black, Green, Red!!” He was calling his raptors!
“Brown, Red, Green and I will slow down the t-rex and Black will help you get to the docks so you can escape the park!“, he told Jack and the others!!
They ran as fast as they could! Black took them to the zip line and they started climbing the stairs to the tower where the zip line was. Black could climb stairs but could not use the zip line, so Jack told her to wait at the other end, so they were on their own for now. After they climbed up the stairs John went on the zip line first, then Hank, then Ben.
But when it was Jack’s turn, he made it most of way but a pterosaur saw him and bit the line in half! He was going to fall but he swung the rope and jumped really far! But it wasn’t far enough! He almost fell but grabbed on to the middle of the tower! He was alive!
His friends came running down the steps! They were so relieved!
When they got down from the the tower Black was waiting for them, so they kept going. Finally, they arrived at Main Street. They were just a mile away from the hotel!
“We’re almost there! We can do it!“, Jack gasped. They had been running for a long time. Soon they reached the hotel. Then the speaker said, “All airplanes and helicopters have left, last ferry leaves in 5 minutes!”
“Yes!! We can do it! Last ferry leaves in five minutes, the dock is only 3 minutes away from here”, Jack exclaimed! They were saved, is what they thought.
Just then, 5 baryonyxes jumped out of the bushes! Yikes!!! They ran as fast as they could but the baryonyxes were faster! They were almost there! They had 10 seconds left! 10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1!! They were just about to get there but the last ferry left the dock!
But they still didn’t give up! They jumped into the water and swam the fastest they could! Turns out baryonyxes can swim too!! The baryonyxes were right behind them!! But they finally got on the boat!
Since Black could not swim, she stayed back on the island. She had to. They noticed that many people were on the boat talking. What they didn’t notice was that the baryonyxes had secretly gotten onto the boat! ” ROAR!!!” the baryonyxes growled angrily!
People screamed and ran for their lives! Then the boat started wobbling! Suddenly, Jack remembered something! The speaker had said that all fences were broken not some! That meant water dinosaurs like the mosasaurus could be out here in the ocean! Now Jack knew what was creating all that wobbling, the mosasaurus!
“Everyone calm down! The baryonyxes are not creating the wobbling, the mosasaurus is!“, Jackyelled. Just then their entire boat was flipped over! It was the mosasaurus!
Jack, John, Hank, Ben, and one other kid survived and made it back to the island.
“Hi, my name is Cole I think we are all stuck on this island so maybe we can work together?”, the kid said. Jack introduced himself and the others to Cole and they started walking towards the hotel. They also found Black sleeping under a tree near the hotel. They all went back in. Even though the power was out, the room card still worked.
They changed their clothes and got in their beds. Black slept on the floor. Nothing could get inside the hotel room because if they tried Black would just smell the danger, but they still closed the windows and turned off the lights, just in case.
Next morning, they looked around the rest of the hotel! They found the kitchen but since nobody was still here, they had to make their own food. So, Jack said he was going to make the food. He made sandwiches with strips of bacon. They were delicious!
After breakfast, they went searching for pieces to build a raft. They also searched for any crashed boats, airplanes, helicopters or ferries. Finally, they saw one airplane, good news, it
looked like it still would work, bad news, they needed to find a raft or build one to get there because it was on a different island. They started cutting vines and wood to make a raft. By the end of the day, they were exhausted! They had cut 5 vines and half a tree.
Then they went back to the hotel. Jack thought about the plan while Hank made dinner. They were starving because they only ate two meals a day, breakfast and dinner. Jack was thinking about stuff like how they were going to carry the trees that they cut. “There isn’t a big chance that we will succeed”, Jack told the others after dinner,“so I have been trying to get an idea about how we will carry the trees after we cut. Finally I came up with a good one. Since we are in a island full of dinosaurs, why don’t we use the dinosaurs?”
“Yeah good idea!!“, John exclaimed.
They decided that that’s what they were going to do. Next morning, they went with the plan. Hank, John, and Black cut the trees and Jack, Cole, and Ben went to the herbivore zone to get the dinosaurs. Black didn’t actually cut trees, she just watched. Jack, Ben, and Cole were running the fastest they could (which wasn’t very fast since they had brought a wagon to put on the dinosaurs).
Finally, they reached the herbivore zone. They looked around for the perfect dinosaur. Finally, they found a fully grown ankylosaurus.
“That’s perfect!! Since Hank and John probably didn’t cut the first tree yet, the ankylosaurus can break the trees.“, Ben said.
Now they just needed to lure it to where Hank and John were. They made a plan. They would chase it back all the way. It wasn’t the best plan, but it probably would work. A few minutes later, like they planned, Ben chased the ankylosaurus toward the two-sided path. It went the right way because Cole was blocking the other one. Then they both started chasing it.
Just a little further Jack was climbing up a tree with the wagon. The plan was that when Ben and Cole led the ankylosaurus right below the tree, Jack would jump on it with the wagon and put it on its back. Then he would jump off the ankylosaurus. Just like the plan it was passing by the tree. Jack jumped on it but then he almost fell off it’s back!! Luckily, he got his grip back and jumped off safely.
Then just like they planned it hit the trees down and it flew off to the docks. The plan had worked. The friends excitedly ran to the docks. They started tying the vines around the logs.
“First thing tomorrow, we leave Dina Volcana,” Jack told them.
They all cheered! “Woo-Hoo!! Yeah!!!” The others yelled joyfully.
Then they went back to the hotel. Next day, they all ran back to the docks. The raft was still there! But just as they got on, they heard another growl. It was a carnatorus! But luckily Black heard it and ran from the hotel to the docks. She bit it on the neck and jumped into the raft! That made the carnatorus angry. It jumped into the water and swam towards them! They rowed as fast as they could! Then the carnatorus jumped above the raft! Just then the friends all jumped and swam to safety. They got into the plane and then they realized something, nobody could fly a plane!
“Wait!! I took piloting lessons once”, Hank yelled. So, he got in the pilot seat and started moving just in time since the carnatorus had finally gotten on the island! Then they blasted off!!!
They were soon going to be home. Soon they would be safe!
