Chapter 1

Author’s POV,

For the big day, everyone gathered in the church. From reporters to celebrities, business tycoon to artist everyone is waiting for Austin Moore to tie the knot with his happily ever after. It’s going to be big news.

The loud cheers indicate that the wait is over. Groom, Austin Moore, the world’s richest businessman, jumped out of his Ferrari to entice the young ladies.

True to his words, he appeared devilishly handsome, and his greyish orbs roamed here and there to take in the scenery. His six-inch figure approached the reporters and snapped some pictures to brighten their day.

When it comes to his business, the man becomes lethal, but when it comes to his family, he becomes all kind and affectionate. If his business comes first, his family will undoubtedly come second.

He walked down the aisle with his best man, who was also his best friend, Alexander Wellington. He waited for his soon-to-be life partner in front of the pastor. His lovely smile remained on his face the entire time.

The bride’s chariot arrived at the church without making him wait long. The girl, dressed in a pearly white gown, entered the aisle. The children showered rose petals on her path.

Bride’s hand clutched the bouquet in her hand more firmly, as if she was exerting control over herself. Photographers began to take pictures of her with a veiled face as soon as she stepped inside. The sight made Austin smile sheepishly.

Her body was goose bumped by an unknown emotion as she stood beside the groom. When the time came, the pastor cleared his throat to begin the ceremony.

“Do you take Isa heap as your beloved wife, Austin Moore?” said the pastor, making Austin smile with love and admiration.

“Yes, I do,” he said with a dreamy smile.

“Do you, Isa heap, accept Austin Moore as your loving man?” It was time for Isa to reply, which made her nervous.

“Y..yes, I do,” she said softly.

“With all of power I have now, I unveil you as man and wife as you can kiss the bride,” the man said softly.

Austin drew Isa closer with delight after swapping rings. Why won’t, he join hands with his happily ever after whom he has treasured for about 2 years?

Even so, once the man excluded the veil, his hand struck in the air. He stood there dumbfounded, as if someone had sucked the words from his mouth except one word.

“Layla”.

He was woozy and stuck in place. The rage, confusion, and betrayal swirling in his eyes terrified the poor girl. Even if she was forced to marry him, nothing could justify her actions in public.

Furthermore, it is a great disgrace for the Moore family in the eyes of society. The gasps and mummering around them jolted Austin’s senses. His hand was clenched around the veil he was holding.

“WHAT THE FUCK, LAYLA?” his thunder echoed in the sacred space, causing everyone to take a step back for their own safety.

“I…I’m sorry, Aust...” The girl couldn’t even finish her sentence when her face was slapped, causing her body to lose its balance.

Her eyes welled up with tears as she kissed the carpet floor. Her heart is breaking as a result of this; she does not want to marry him but is compelled to. Inconvenient marriage.

“WHERE IS ISA?!?” says Austin, her stomach trembling in fear.

“S….she..” A loud thud snapped everyone’s head towards the direction before her words could reach him.

“May I ask who Mr. Heap is?” the cop’s words piqued everyone’s interest, causing them to squint their eyes at him.

“Y..yes officer,” Falcon Heaps said in the hall, prompting the cops to approach him with a sore face.

“My condolences, Mr. Heap, your daughter’s car crashed into the bridge and she was in a coma,” everyone’s heart stopped, while Austin’s shattered into billion pieces.

Everyone remained silent while the reporters received more interesting news to brighten their day. When Austin’s gaze lingered over the poor girl standing in pain and tears, some of the guests began to leave.

“YOU FUCKING BITCH, RUINED MY LIFE,” he snarled venomously, making her flinch.
