Chapter 1
Where did I go wrong.
What did I do to deserve this cruel fate. Was it punishment for the thousands of people I've killed or was it the price to pay for foolishly believing the lies of the devil I once loved.
I looked up to stare at the moody ceiling of the dingy dungeon the kept me in as I recounted all my past sins and mistakes.
Why did this have to happen,after all I did for him he still went behind to stab me in the back,after all the sacrifices I've made to make him happy he still chose her over me and threw me in this small cell!!?? Why,why, WHY!!!
Tears gathered my eyes at the green ceiling became blurry and contorted. I tried to blink the tears away but more just kept coming and before I knew it I burst into full out sobs.
I knew I should be strong and than spend the last few hours of my life crying. blood dribbled out of my nose as a wave of pain grasped my weak frame ah looks like I didn't have much time left as I could feel the effects of the poison take it's toll on my body.
I let out a humourless and wet laugh as I remembered that this was the same way I killed the man who loved me,the one who swore both the heavens and earth for me. Well I guess this is the end for me, punishment for all the lives I sacrificed for the one I called my husband. I closed my eyes, wishing the poison would work faster and end my miserable existence.
"Aww looks like little CeCe has gotten into quite the trouble right"
Wait that voice don't tell me. My eyes flew open and lo and behold I started right into the ocean blue eyes of my best friend, Charlette,she was dressed in a flashy white wedding dress,jewels adorned her body and on her beautiful face a wicked smile was plastered.
"W-what are you doing here,you need to leave they'll kill you if they find you here" I said trying to get her to leave before anyone walks in but I was answered by a maniacal laugh?? Why was she laughing, doesn't she know what they will do to her if she's found. After a while(which was longer than necessary) she stopped laughing her eyes mocking and calculated bore into mine as her smile twisted into something evil
"Oh sweet little CeCe still doesn't know does she"
"Know what,what am I missing exactly"
"Oh nothing except for the fact that your so called kingdom and your darling husband are now mine"
What did she just say no I It seems like I misheard maybe this was all a prank she was pulling on me to make me feel better before I pass on but she wasn't laughing just smirking cruelly at me
" You no y your lying aren't you, you you can't you wouldn't"
"Oh but I did, for years I wanted to make you hurt I wanted to take everything you owned and make you watch as I ruin your life "
"But why after everything I've done for you after I took you in-"
"SHUT UP!!"
A thick silence rang through the tiny cell,the only noise I could hear was the sound of my own heart breaking into even smaller pieces.
"Did you really think that you helped me,that you saved me, you did no such thing. You had everything handed to you on a golden platter while I had to work for it,you got everything you wanted just by being the king's daughter while I the lowly daughter of a house maid who got lucky just because the princess decided to shine some light on her life had nothing and you think you saved me"
"So you were jealous? Of me? But you were the one who was more favoured,my father and everyone else only saw me as the trouble child while everyone saw you as pretty,kind and perfect child of his majesty. So why were you jealous!!??"
"Because no matter what I did,no matter what I gave I was still an adopted orphan who was putting a stain on the royal family and you ask me why I was jealous!!??"
The look in her eyes made my heart clench with sadness (and pain) It wasn't the same kind(fake????) Look she would give me during our childhood but instead it was filled with hatred and anger but it soon faded away and a condescending and smug look took over it
"But of course after I found out that your darling fiancé had a little crush on me, we swore eternity to each other so here we are,you the once cruel dictator that crushed everything under the sole of her feet now locked up and on death's door and me the once helpless adopted daughter of the previous king,now the future queen of the great kesht kingdom"
I didn't know what to feel, at most I actually felt empty and cold yet at the same time I felt............ANGRY!!.
How dare they do this to me,how dare they make me suffer such humiliation and pain. My vision blurred as I coughed out a considerable amount of blood. Damn it, damnit, damnit, damnit, damnit, damnit DaMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!
Not now I'm not supposed to die now I need to make them pay,I need them to suffer for what they did to me,please not now. I looked past Charlette and saw him,the one I once adored. My previous husband and now executioner,Celphius. His eyes dark,cold and calculating, he looked into my eyes one last time as my vision faded away and the last thing I saw before it all went dark was a cruel smirk plastered on his face
"Do you regret it"
Huh who said that why is it so dark. Aren't I dead
"Do you regret killing them, All those innocent people"
"Yes,yes I do"
"Do you wish for revenge?"
"More than anything"
I saw a bright light and a hand stretched out for me to reach for it. I took the suspicious hand maybe this is how I enter the after life but I was pulled to the body of a naked woman,my face pressed into her bosom as she tilted her head down
"A second chance" said the strange woman"I shall give you a second chance" and with that she pushed me into a hole that had appeared behind me and I fell down into darkness
"Cece............ce..........."
Who is that? And why does she sound so familiar??
"Cece....... It's ime to ....ke up"
What was the voice saying, who does this voice belong to
"CECELIA!!!"
My eyes flew wide open as I finally recognised the voice that thad been calling out to me
It was Charlette but a as a teenager???
Wait. I rushed to looka t the mirror beside me ignoring my former best friend's worried face and what I saw almost gave me a heart attack I'm a teenager too!!!??(fifteen to be exact)
Did all this happen because of that mysterious voice? Wait does this mean that I went to the past,so that I might no I can finally have-
"Ce-Cecelia are you alright your acting strange"
I turn to look at her not sure what kind of look I had on my face but judging by the way she flinched it mustn't have been a pretty one.
"Don't worry Charlette I'm perfectly fine now please leave"
"B but you were-"
"GET OUT!"
She seemed unsure and worried as she trudged out of my room tsk like hell she is, I'm not going to fall for her little tricks ever again.
"Don't worry your pretty little head Charlette once I'm done with you I'll be the least of your worries. I don't know how or why I've been brought into the past but I'll make sure of one thing"
"I'll get my revenge on you and Celphius even if it's the last thing I do."
