Chapter 1

In shadows, we met, lowkey dates, unseen,

Unphotographed memories, a clandestine dream.

You spun a world, a fantasy so wide,

But was it for love, or to feed your own pride?

I trusted your words, believed your sweet guise,

Innocence lost in your web of lies.

I was naive, I'll admit, from the start,

Blinded by love, torn apart, torn apart.

Yet lessons are learned in the harshest of ways,

Through tears and through heartache, in the darkest of days.

I've grown stronger now, no longer confined,

To the whims of a love that was never truly mine.

So farewell to the fantasies, the unspoken desires,

I've found my own path, where my heart now aspires.

No more shadows, no more deceit in disguise,

For I've seen through the darkness, and now I shall rise.
